About Me
MY DESIGN PHILOSOPHY:
There is a reason my title says "Stuck in the 90s and Proud Of It".
I miss when maps weren't overblown adventures, or gaudy eyecandy - though in saying this, I CAN tell you that I can 100% appreciate the work, effort, and creativity that goes into making such maps, they're just not for me.
I miss when mappers just kind of did their own thing.
Maps were simpler, but not Baby's First Square Room. They did their job.
Gameplay that wasn't unreasonably difficult, or piss-easy either.
Wads that give you your weapons, and tell you to have fun.
Something that does it's job, tells it's story, and doesn't have a mission statement of trying to be the Next Hardest Thing Since Sunlust.
And that is what I do.
That is what I make.
Wads that aren't overstated in scale, architecture, or combat structure.
Combat that isn't some anxiety-inducing Herculean task; a riddle, that you can learn the answer to.
Levels that aren't overtly "pretty", but aren't oversimplified or dull.
They tell you to be the change you want to see in the world, and so I do.
I make the kinds of levels I like to play. Not too big, not too crazy, just enjoyable fun.
