DOOM 2, The Chasm Whenever I get to it, I'm always like "Okay, I'll leave it here for now, and continue at another time", but then I never return.

What developer would you trust with the Doom IP?

Are you serious? -
hello im new to doom modding i need some help

There is only one level editor that works for DOOM 64, and that's Doom Builder 64. It is quite outdated, but it's the only one that works, as it only reads the DOOM64.WAD from DOOM 64 EX and the remaster on Steam. -
Yeah well, I'm not about to learn coding to understand any of this. Besides, the instructions list off a file called "snaphak_info.zip", but no such file exists. It's a waste of time if you ask me.

I have recently had problems with DOOM 2016 regarding sudden FPS drops. In VEGA Core Processing, or whatever, when I look at certain areas, my FPS goes down from 60 (VSync) to 35-40, and it's driving me insane. I tried searching Google, found nothing, I tried asking the Steam community, unsurprisingly unhelpful. The thing is, this NEVER happened before, and it only recently began occurring. I know it's not a specs problem, because again, it worked just fine a few days ago. I'm using the Vulkan API, with VSync turned on. I do not have Razor Chroma enabled, and my resolution is 720p. I have no pending Windows Updates or driver updates. What I want is some kind of console command that could possibly be the culprit. I have the DoomLegacy Mod, which expands the list of cmds and cvars. HELP. ME. PLEASE.

So apparently there's this thing for DOOM 2016 SnapMap, which "expands" the capabilities of the editor. But when I tested it out, nothing changed except that a few more objects were available, but one of them was broken with it only displaying "1". It also requires the game to be in windowed mode, which I will not do, to keep my device from becoming a nuclear reactor. I just don't understand why it's so popular. I'm not trying to hate, I'm just confused.

That's because in the original DOOM, looking up or down would make the visuals appear stretched. Use OpenGL or SoftPoly rendering if you want to fix that.

These are the quality topics that I want to see here. Btw, no.

Unfortunately, Open Touch Gaming has put some kind of NASA security system into the newer versions of their apps, so getting an APK wouldn't work.

I'm just saying that Bethesda doesn't understand what made the old DOOM games last so long. Modding.

Well, if you want a completely faithful DOOM 64 experience, then I think DOOM64EX should do the trick. It's not a mod for GZDOOM, but instead a port of DOOM 64 to PC. It does require a ROM of DOOM 64, and I'm not at liberty to say how to get it. There is also the official port, but uh......................... bethesda.

Question about Final Doom on Ultra Violence + (Steam)
TuomasGaming replied to trappedtitan's topic in Doom General
Really funny there... -
Yeah, but I wasn't talking about UDMF. You think I'm going to go in full detail on how lifts work in DOOM? There is the DOOM wiki for that.

The "elevator" should be one sector to avoid any hassle. Use the sector tool and select the elevator's surface (in 2d view of course). Add a tag to the elevator sector. (ex. 1) If you want the elevator to be activated by switch: 1. place a switch texture onto a wall. 2. add the same tag that you added onto the elevator. (ex. 1) 3. to make the switch interactible, add an action to it. (ex. Lift lower and raise) If you want to make the elevator go down by interacting with one of the sides of it: 1. Choose a side of the elevator that the player can reach 2. add an action to it (ex. Lift lower and raise) BTW, lifts can only go down by interacting with them. Lifts will automatically go up after a few seconds. The lift destination depends on how high the nearest floor is.
