  1. I'm collecting mostly the smol 1:43 scale, with a couple of 1:18 of our favorite drivers tossed in for good measure. I've got Tony Kanaan (3 of them) and (of course) the memorial Dan Wheldon collectible in 1:18. On the 1:43 side, I've got Robert Wickens, Takuma Sato, and I think Graham Rahal - he's kinda buried in the display beneath a Ferrari prototype. Oh, and I've also got a 1:18 Bugatti Veyron in Bugatti Blue & black. I loves me some Bugatti.
  2. Indycar die-casts and Sailor Moon stuff. Also, I'm trying to collect all of the Drum Corps International DVDs/Blu-rays, but they're just too expensive.
  3. Approximately $207 USD of beef, pork, fish (fresh and salt water), and assorted vegetable side dishes from frozen food specialty vendor Wild Fork Foods. We went to their store in Wylie, TX after my podiatrist's appointment yesterday. Wild Fork can be a little iffy if you do mail order from them, I'm hearing, but I can attest that you can get great food from them if you go to their stores and do your shopping in person. We bought some sea bream, lake walleye, and salmon fillets in the fish department, some pork strip steaks (equivalent of NY Strip Steaks), some *beef* NY strip steaks, some "Outside Strip" steaks, several pounds of ground chuck, and a whole bunch of other beef. On the side dishes, aside from the ubiquitous frozen mixed veg, we got a couple of creamed spinach casserole and a couple of creamed corn casseroles. Om nom nom nom nom.
  4. The "wah" sound is caused by a change in the EQ filter cutoff frequency (I'm not the best at explaining this stuff, that's why I'm not a teacher in the field. But, I shall try.) To "open up" the "wah" sound, increase the frequency cutoff number, and vice versa. To get this to work on a MIDI guitar, you'll need to affect General MIDI patch 30 or 31 (whichever one your MIDI editor says is the Distortion Guitar) and figure out which MIDI command to send to it which will change the envelope cutoff frequency. Experiment with that until you get it right, and that *should* get you going. Good luck!
  5. Anton Bruckner, Symphony No. 2, Mvt. 4. (1872 version, ed. Carragan (RIP Prof. Carragan))
  6. Instant Idaho mashed potatoes, instant sausage cream gravy. Pat of butter. Om nom nom.
  7. A copy of a study score to Anton Bruckner's Symphony No. 2 in C Minor. https://www.amazon.com/dp/3795772222 I also ordered a recording of the same revision of the symphony, conducted by Georg Tintner. Looking forward to its arrival.
  8. I am not your average Doomworld user. You should be glad about that. You'd be in a lot of pain if that were the case. ;)
  9. Howard the Duck. I enjoyed it much more than most people did.
  10. I used to do a news report during the Gulf War. It was sponsored by the General Schwarzkopf Slim-Fast Diet: "Give Us a Week, We'll Take Off Kuwait."
  11. 100 Days to Indy https://www.cwtv.com/shows/100-days-to-indy/ A show about the behind-the-scenes stuff that goes on in the 100 days leading up to the Indianapolis 500 race. It was on the CW. Good, good stuff. On par with Netflix's "Drive to Survive" Formula One series, except that there's no manufactured drama bullshit. It's all real.
  12. The world may never know.
  13. Please read my most recent Status Update, dated today (May 19th, 2024). I just posted it. I'm having some problems staying out of the hospital, it would seem.
  14. UPDATE:

I wound up back in the hospital for overnight observation again this past Thursday night (the 16th of May) and was discharged Friday afternoon. You see, my bandages and the spot where the hose of my vacuum drain goes through my skin into my knee both started leaking. My home health nurse took some pics and sent them to my surgeon, who then ordered me to go to the Emergency Room immediately and get it treated. That's how I wound up being admitted overnight.

Anyway, they took out my vacuum drain hose and re-bandaged my surgical wounds, then sent me home Friday. I'm just now settling in to home life once again. However, guess what's happening again? Yep! My bandages are leaking. Again.

    Aaughh.

I called my home health nurse on-call service Saturday night and reported the leaking. We did a "Facetime"-like call, where I showed the nurse my leaking wound via my phone. In the end, she made arrangements for another nurse to come out first thing Sunday morning and re-re-wrap my surgical wound. Again.

This is getting really old, folks. Unfortunately, I've got no way around it. All I can do is put up with it and hope it heals. Please, wish me luck - I need every bit of it I can get. Thank you.

You're always in my thoughts, Lee. I really hope things improve for you real soon. Lord knows, you deserve it.
