  1. Here's an MP3 that @stewboy created in Sibelius of the quintet. It doesn't have all of the slurs or articulations in yet, so there's that, but it sounds better than the MIDI file. The link: https://we.tl/t-dDeE11LGbD Please send critiques!
  2. I still need your critiques, folks! Please download the ZIP file, as well as the MP3 that @stewboy uploaded (thanks again!) and listen to them, then give me your critique! Anything helpful you have to say would be appreciated. Thank you!
  3. I can use any help I can get, and yours is more than helpful in this case. Thank you! Thank you for your insight here - you've given me an idea on what to do in order to fix part of this section. I'm aware, yes. I tried to keep the playing in that range to an absolute bare minimum, but I did cross that line. I may have to change it once I get it in front of a real player. "Mind too much???" I *appreciate* it, very much!!! I don't have a notation program on this laptop that would allow me to insert slurs and articulation, much less do a rendering of the MIDI file! I probably will put in more slurs when i get the file loaded into Dorico. Still, you did a wonderful job, I must say. You really helped the work come alive. When you wake up then, feel free to add more to your comments! Thank you!!!
  4. A music study score of Jean Francaix's Woodwind Quartet. Here's an excellent performance of what I'll be studying:
  5. I'm going to go ahead and post the WeTransfer link here to make things easier. Here 'tis: https://we.tl/t-jVQiYz0zkv There's a readme in the ZIP file that should have all the info you need to get started. Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for your help!
  6. Great! I'm going to go ahead and post the WeTransfer link here in the forum so you and others can download it. Here it is: https://we.tl/t-jVQiYz0zkv There's a readme inside the ZIP file that should have everything you need. Let me know if you have any problems. Thank you for your help!
  7. Feelin' Good, Dancing Anime Character.
  8. I have finished a piece for Woodwind Quintet, and I'm looking for feedback on it! If you're willing to listen through a MIDI file (and possibly read through a *very* rudimentary PDF score), drop me a direct message and I'll make arrangements on how to get a copy of the necessary files to you. I'm looking forward to *your* critique!

  13. My foot surgery, scheduled for today, has been cancelled. I've got an upper respiratory infection, and I'm too sick for the operation. It'll have to be rescheduled. Bleh.
  14. Give it about 60 years. Oh, and take off the helmet, too. That stunts beard growth.
  15. I've never understood the hate for Windows ME. I installed a copy on my wife's AMD Duron machine, and it ran like a champ. She never once complained about it. Granted, she's not what you'd call a power user like most of us, but still, for her purposes, WinME ran a treat.
  16. "Don't you worry, Mr. Davidson, I'll get that wisdom tooth out come hell or high water. Now, where's my blow torch?"
  17. "Good luck, Charlie, we're all counting on you."
  18. Intense Anime Look = Check All systems are go, Elon.
  19. Using Windows 11 on both my systems with great success, although I am taking advantage of Stardock Software's Start11 menu manipulation software to let me roll the menu interface back to the Windows 7 look and feel. That's the one area I don't like about Win11.
  20. A year's subscription to the FloMarching streaming service so I can watch this year's Drum Corps International World Championships tour live.
