Sorry for the late reply, but I never received this notification on the home menu of my smartphone: this is proof that they don't work as they should.

Thank you for the replies. By now I was afraid I would be snubbed. 😅 Perhaps someone else will give me more optimistic information, or some other alternative. 😉

Hi. I know this site is dedicated to Doom and the like, but maybe someone will be able to answer me anyway. I would like to know if BloodCM, the famous Total Conversion of Blood for eDuke32, is also playable via JfDuke3d, or rather, the port of the latter on Nintendo DSi (cfw=TWL, SD slot, 16MB ram). Usually to use a classic custom episode I launch an .argv file with the following command line: "jfDuke3d.nds /xVacation.con /gVacation.grp" in the case of Duke Caribbean addon. In short,, it is a game.grp and the corresponding game.con, but in the case of BloodCM there is a folder with many .con files, with no main one identifiable, plus other files. And the same thing applies to the older BloodTC. Ultimately, in your opinion, is it not possible to launch it with JfDuke3d? Is there perhaps another Blood conversion that also works with JfDuke3d? Thanks.

I had already read it. But what is the point of one email a day (or even worse, a week)? I would like to be notified in a timely manner, when I am not browsing this site, whenever someone replies in a thread of mine or if they quote a post of mine. But on this topic only a staff member could respond, I surmise. Would you know how to contact them, since they have snubbed this thread, and more importantly, who among them would not mind if I bothered him about this topic?

Hello everyone. Can anyone tell me why in this site the browser notifications don't work as they should? If I browse this site (via Chrome for Android) the red notification dots and the warning message at the bottom of the page occur normally, but if I browse other sites, or don't browse at all but with internet data line (or whatever the hell you all call it) turned on, I don't get notifications on the home screen of my Android smartphone, while those from other sites (e.g. GBATemp) arrive there promptly. Since I registered here, they have never worked, at least on Android devices. Is it just me, or is it normal for them not to work this way? Alternatively, is it not possible to enable at least email notifications (also never received here)?

Please raccomend to me vanilla megawads released in recent years.
Nikoka replied to Nikoka's topic in Doom General
Sorry. My bad. I forgot to specify that megawads are fine for all 4 classic titles (Doom, Doom2, TNT, Plutonia). It was implied that I meant Doom2: I know very well that it is the most used title when creating megawads. Also you all are right, vanilla and Boom/PrBoom are different things, and in fact many limit removing wads work on DSDoom, but they have various flaws and annoyances: they are often slow or jerky, they crash in some places, especially with large and articulated environments with many decorations, or if you are attacked by too many enemies at once, or even with too many overlapping sound effects. Yes, I'm ultimately okay with single episodes as long as they are good. 😉 -

Thanks again to those who have responded or will respond later. 😊 AnywayI had explicitly requested megawads (by which I mean 4 new episodes altogether, not single episodes or a few maps) simple and vanilla (some suggested to me are explicitly "limit removing" so unusable on DSi console). I particularly appreciate community collections, such as the 3 famous, now old but unforgettable community chests or the like. 😉 -
Hi all. It's been a while since I frequented these forums, and I was wondering if anyone can recommend me some vanilla (Boom/PrBoom compatible) megawads published in the last 2 or 3 years, which probably escaped my attention. More specifically I would like to use them (via .argv argument) with DSDoom, the port of PrDoom for DSi, which has only 16 MB RAM, so they will have to be simple titles anyway, vanilla as I mentioned. Perhaps if you guys could provide me with a comprehensive list, I would appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

I am using cfw pro c-fix3 Surely. But when I didn't have this extension installed, some games (e.g. Tomb Raider) simply ran without bgm or voice tracks, but didn't crash. I am using the latest version. So the ID you used is that of Doom (US). Anyway I will do as you suggested. Edit: In fact, your version works out of the box. 😉

What game ID did you use? I wanted to convert it myself, first with the ID it gives me automatically (slus66604) on psx2psp, then with the ID of Final Doom: in both cases it crashes during the loading text, when the green line is complete, after the sound effect of the rifle loading. How come? What game ID did you use instead? Have you actually tested the game on PSP?

Wow, what a nice surprise! At last! It was about time! I was late to notice this happening, since I don't get notifications from this site on my phone, however better late than never. Congratulations to the whole team for their continued commitment and dedication poured into this project. I will momentarily abandon my world tour among the various DN3D add-on episodes to devote myself to this gem, long awaited as much as now unexpected. I will certainly be won over! [hmmm.....damn, where the hell did I leave my PSP???]

Continuing on the same (impractical) path, why not Colorful (Hell), Smooth, Ketchup or some randomizer mod? For now, let us be content to see this long-awaited, infamous Doom map collection completed: as about UFOs, until now there has always been much talk about them, but nothing concrete has ever been seen on the horizon. 😋

Sorry to butt in, but let me say that FMVs can easily be replaced with much shorter (compatible) .str movies, dummy files and .XA bgms replaced with homonymous 1-bite files without any problems: a procedure that old psx connoisseurs and creators of custom multi-ripped-games isos know well (infamous 3-in-1 or 10-in-1 collections 😉). Sometimes some games work by simply deleting .xa and .str files without replacing them.

Should An Adult Still Read Comic Books And Play Video Games
Nikoka replied to DSC's topic in Everything Else
The ancient Romans said "est modus in rebus"(in things there is a right measure). It is all a matter of degree. Neither too much nor too little. I am over 40 years old, I have studied, worked, married and had a child, divorced, lost parents and friends, changed jobs, lost my dear dog, got a new partner, had a tumor: and with all this I have always played video games. I haven't gone crazy, I'm not unsocial or neurotic, I'm quite balanced and socially integrated although, in the end, ......... ............................... I'm a nerd. 🤣
