  1. Serious Hellbound vibes. Which I like since HB is my favorite megawad. There might be a bit too much pistoling at the start however.
  2. Yeah some epic threat necro here guys :) https://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?t=35879 Sadly it's discontinued but the demo is pretty long. It's also without weapons, you have to sneak past the enemies and the levels are nonlinear. Don't get lost.
  3. Okay, some feedback: -Please get rid of the screenshake for the UMP, it makes my head hurt -The shotgun in pump action mode is a downgrade from the UMP both in DPS and range. Consider making it semi auto, since the SPAS can work that way. Also, does any game ever use the SPAS with the stock unfolded? -The zombies are a bit too hardcore. -Cloaked imps? A bit too hardcore. Are we supposed to play this with crosshair on?
  4. The amount of effort you put in this truly blows my mind. More power to you.
  5. Outpost 13 for newcomer and map. Excellent stuff.
  6. Golden Souls 1-2 if you want Super Doom 64 with lots of platforming and a level select overmap. Stand by for Golden Souls 3 where missing a jump won't kill you! Very varied levels from mines to haunted houses to green hills zone-esque verdant locales. Jazz Jackrabbit and Hocus Pocus Doom if you want 90s platformers taken to 3D. Lost Civilization 2. Since LC1 has already been suggested. Very different from LC1, it feels more like a stream of consciousness kind of thing. Surreal nightmare one minute, idyllic landscape the next, then underground research facility with destructible walls, then yet another switch. Ashes 2063/Ashes Afterglow if you want the best free total conversion. Mad Max-Fallout-Metro with a killer soundtrack and in ep 2 more focus on story with multiple ways to solve the main quest. Varied, atmospheric levels. Can't wait for the next installment! One of my favorite games of all times which is more like an indictment of AAA games. Hedon if you want the best commercial total conversion. Arx Fatalis meets crystalpunk orc waifus with some immersive sim elements and story. The creator might have a fetish for girl abs. There is a demo if you want to try. Eternal Doom (not to be confused with Doom Eternal). One of those classic 90s megawads. A good chunk is in various medival castles. Hellbound if you want logical progression from one map to another, starts out in the city but explores military bases and hell. Arguably the most Doom-like level progression (with some Duke3D influences) on my list but I included it because it's one of my all time favorites.
  7. Okay, if this is your first map, then imma nominate you for newcomer and map both. Excellent map, reminds me of the similarly inspired one from Death Wish for Blood.
  8. 2nd episode of Extermination Day. Irregular Entropy from map 2 onwards. Off the top of my head.
  9. Lost Civilization, the map pack is amazing but the music is bleh.
  10. Map 1 was a bit rough and felt without identity. But 2-3-4 were amazing! Although lay down on the 20 damage nukage please! I think this should be nominated for the next Cacos
  11. God damn, was gonna nominate it to the Cacos, but just saw it's last year. So far, I've done map 1 and wow. Talk about complex semi-linear map design.
  12. Brutal Doom Starter Pack/Extermination Day, every map follows from the previous but it doesn't feel very sci-fi, the main bits are techbase-urban-hell. There was another where you start out in a space port, take a ship to planetside, then finish on a space station but forgot the name and can't find it.
  13. https://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=35879 Unfortunately this one is no longer under development, but there's a fairly lengthy demo.
