  1. I can confirm this is an absolute banger! I encourage any Doom 1 enthusiasts to give this a try, though be prepared coz the odds are not in Doomguy's favor :)
  2. Actually, this map doesn't seem bad judging by the fights. Looks like a fun and accessible slaughterfest. Visually not great but it makes up for it combat-wise. Feels a bit easy, but I wouldn't mind maps like this followed by some more difficult ones down the line of a set, as long as they don't get too repetitive.
  3. Edited the little steps with candles for easier platforming.
  4. Italo enthusiast here, even though I haven't really played it xd maybe I should start with this one instead since it's quite literally its little brother. I wonder what its bigger brother would look like, probably something very mean.
  5. I think you probably meant 110 monsters. Anyway, good stuff!
  6. Important update: So excited to announce that @DankMetal has joined in and provided midi remixes by herself for the current levels!
  7. I'm not sure. But it works in DSDA if you use Doom v1.9 and Ultimate Doom compatibility.
  8. Hey there, I figured it was about time I gave Doom 1 some love. So this. No baron/cyber slaughter. Health/ammo is very scarce in UV in the beginning (although there's a free berserk pack - use it wisely!). I kinda wanted to highlight the SMM making it threatening, without making it annoying. Map is packed with secrets, but is beatable without them. Aimed for a shorter "main path" length of map, so I made extra optional sections for otherwise lengthy gameplay enjoyers and secret hunters! doom.wad; all difficulties implemented; no jumping/crouching; tested in GZDoom and DSDA-Doom. I felt a bit limited regarding hellish and wooden textures - I missed some of the Doom II ones! But that's okay. Gameplay-wise I didn't feel like the map was missing Doom II monsters - imo at least. 9. Ohh, that's a cool idea for a challenge! I thought about trying it with fast monsters to spice it up even more. I honestly think this is a good map for speedrunning challenges, or weapon restrictions like that, or fast monsters even.
  10. I just uploaded the video with the glitch! It had to happen with a home-made map xd
  11. Thank you all for the feedback! I forgot to mention this map was so cursed, but so cursed that it made me accidentally trigger the all ghosts monsters glitch for the first time. I was innocently playtesting it to make sure it worked on cl-2 (because I had forgotten I was on cl-9 the whole time), when suddenly something seemed very off, and shortly after that I clipped through a wall and it all came to me: I was experiencing THE glitch for the first time. I turned on the record button and I can share some footage of it when I get back from work!
  12. Hi again, In this episode, my gf wanted to give me a gift, so she crafted a 90's vibe speedmap. Not much to say about it otherwise, only that trying to speedrun-max this might be a pain in the neck. doom2.wad; complevel 2; all difficulties implemented; no jumping/crouching; tested in GZDoom and DSDA-Doom. DOWNLOAD SCREENSHOT: *Edit: this map sure was a gift, coz it made me experience the all ghosts monsters glitch for the first time!
  13. Do you think any original Doom maps match their title name with the level design itself? Which one you think is the closest in resembling the name they were given, and which one is completely off and doesn't look like what it should have looked like based on its title name?
