Thanks for taking the time to test all the maps friend. I'm not sure what happened with the missing flats in my map, I think maybe I had some extra resources loaded while mapping and got mixed up? at any rate, @Misty if you could please replace the missing flats with CITYF01 before you reupload, that would be great. I could also do it too if you prefer, just let me know.

Thank you for bringing the misaligned textures to my attention. I have fixed them and also removed an accidental double tagged secret. Updated version here: https://doomshack.org/uploads/HotstartColdplace_v2.wad I played through this. end fight was mean lol. There is 1 caco that does not wake up and teleport in for some reason, otherwise no bugs that i can see. I also played through this. good fun. I don't know if I was missing something but there did not seem to be an actual exit? just the sign. -

The Valley of Calm Trees [cl9 single level]
Smiling Imp replied to Smiling Imp's topic in WAD Releases & Development
Hello, I have uploaded a final version to idgames and pending approval I will update the link in the op. Here are some screenshots of the new version, I decided to make the small tree palette match the rest of the environment. If nobody likes this change I can change it back but I recon I'm pretty happy with it now. @Zahid thanks for the playthrough, I'm really sorry it ended up taking you so long to finish. I have made an attempt to make the new version easier to navigate with more torches lighting the pathways and extra railings around the tower where the exit is. Hopefully this helps. Thanks again for your effort! @mancubian_candidate cheers for the UV max run, I'm glad the secrets aren't too obscure! Another thanks to everyone else for the comments and playthroughs! -
THE DARKLANDS | Doom II Map | Boom format
Smiling Imp replied to dmh094's topic in WAD Releases & Development
I like the aesthetics very much! as brioche mentioned the progression is a bit unintuitive and i kept getting stuck try to navigate ledges, and also the cyberdemon telefrag at the end was a bit inconsistent. However overall it was quite fun! -

Hello again. Thanks for all the kind words. Sorry about the issues with the doomshack upload, I think I may make a few more minor tweaks and then I will put it on idgames and update the first post. Extra thanks in particular for the demos and video, it brings me a lot of joy to be able to watch others play through what I have made. Cheers! -

Hi all, this is my first post on Doomworld. The Valley of Calm Trees is a fairly short limit-removing single map for Doom 2, set in a relaxing forested valley. Took a little over a week to put together. Uses some custom textures including a couple I made myself. The playpal is an edited version of one doomkid made. Difficulty levels are implemented. Comp level 9. Tested in DSDA-Doom and Woof. Screenshots: Music: "Air realm night" from Drakkhen. Download: http://doomshack.org/uploads/VALLEY_bugfix.wad- 25 replies
