Hell Bound is one of my all time favorite wads. It truly feels like an epic adventure through elaborate techbases and then eventually to hell. The maps are detailed and each place creates a believable location with great atmosphere. Does anybody know of any wads that have at least a somewhat similar feel? I am also very open to Ultimate Doom megawads with this feel, although I am 99% certain I have played every one of those out there.

I have a minor issue to report...in e1m2 there is floating plant hanging off the edge of a cliff. I am pretty sure it is supposed to be on the ground next to this other one sort of marking the sides of the secret tunnel. I have attached screenshots of this, including an automap screenshot with the decoration circled and an arrow pointing at it (yellow). It's a very minor thing, but wanted to mention it in case you guys wanted to fix it.

Doom Zero - launch (and celebrating 25 years of Doom II)
jgs1989 replied to DASI-I's topic in WAD Releases & Development
This is one of my all time favorite wads, and of all the countless wads that modify the weapons to any extent this one is by far my favorite. The weapons look, feel, and sound amazing. Would it be any trouble for you to share a wad that has just the weapons in it? I would love to use these weapons in any other wad I play. -
Would anybody still enjoy a Doom 1 MEGAWAD?

Awesome, I can't wait! Just let me know when you have something for me to play test and I will do it. -

I would definitely enjoy an Ultimate Doom megawad...Doom 1 is my favorite and always will be. I wish there were more Ultimate Doom megawads so I will definitely appreciate yours if you go through with making an entire megawad...also if you need play testing sign me up. I don't know how to map, but I am a decent play tester, I would love to help in that way if I can. -
Hey there, I have been looking forward to this wad for a long time...I have been playing the current version you have available and I am really enjoying it so far. I would like to help you guys fix issues with maps as they are found...I have encountered a few issues with e2m2 (really like this map btw)...the first is there are 5 little pillars that act as a switch to open a nearby secret, but these 5 little pillars seem to be mistakenly tagged as secrets. Another issue is there is a switch that opens 2 doors leading to the yellow key (if I remember correctly), but this switch is one time use, so if you don't enter the doors when they first open after hitting the switch you become soft-locked. There is also a monster closet that seems broken...I have triggered every secret (except the 5 mistaken pillars) and reached the exit, but these monsters seem forever stuck in this closet. I have attached screenshots of everything I have described.

Any hopes of this being finished soon? I have been really looking forward to this one.

Dude I freaking love your wad. It has such a unique style...it has unique details I have not seen in other wads, and this combined with the layouts and combat gives it very alpha feel, and I love that. I am very partial to Ultimate Doom (I prefer it over Doom 2) and this gives very ultimate doomy vibes with an alpha feel, if that makes any sense. All I can say is I love it. I look forward to you finishing episode 4, and I hope you continue to make maps for Ultimate Doom. If you ever need someone to playtest any of your maps I will gladly do so.

[Final release] “Hell's Bane” - an Ult Doom megawad
jgs1989 replied to Chris Hansen's topic in WAD Releases & Development
Hey Chris! Been playing your wad after putting it off for too long and I am enjoying it once again. I found a minor issue to report to you...in e1m6 there is a misaligned texture. I have a screenshot showing this, and another of the line def circled in red. Don't know if you even care to fix...like I said it is only a minor issue. Just thought I would report it to you, as I missed it when I was helping playtest your wad. -
[DOOM 64] Beta 64 Remastered RC V1.0 Now Available !
jgs1989 replied to styd051's topic in WAD Releases & Development
If you are very partial to the original vibe of Doom 64 I cannot recommend Beta 64 enough. It could perfectly fit as the official Doom 64 sequel. If you are new to Doom 64 this is also a fantastic wad to play through as well as it is not completely over the top like some of the stuff you see in Ethereal Breakdown or Doom 64 reloaded (Those wads have some very challenging maps that might seem a little too tough for new doom players). Of course you can play on lower difficulties as well. If nothing else you should play this wad for all of the outstanding work @styd051 did converting it to the Remaster and fixing all of the bugs/issues the original Beta 64 had. -
Bleedthrough [redacted] - vanilla DOOM 1 three-episode WAD
jgs1989 replied to Jayextee's topic in WAD Releases & Development
I am nearly done with your wad and over all it is a very solid doom 1 wad. You have some nasty traps...even a few I would say are unfair but it is tolerable. My only real gripe is that your maps have secrets but officially all your maps have 0 secrets...just curious as to why you didn't tag your secrets as secrets? I feel that this design choice is a dark stain on an otherwise very solid wad. It is your wad, but I would recommend tagging all your secrets as secrets...I think most people here would agree! -

Sunder - Map20 Appears, finally.
jgs1989 replied to Insane_Gazebo's topic in WAD Releases & Development
@Insane_Gazebo will you be making any more maps for Sunder? My wife and I are hardcore fans of your maps, we are dying (repeatedly) for more! Sunder is truly amazing, there is nothing else like it.
