I started playing Doom & Doom2 wads in September 1995. Got the wads from Toolkit For Doom volume 2, PC Gamer & PC Attack. Great times. My favourite Doom wad was Myhouse.wad from 1994 and my favourite Doom2 wad was Surreal2.wad. @Doomlover77

The first two original custom Doom2 maps I know of and own are Cage.wad dated 14/9/94 & then Hope.wad four days later (18/9/94). @Doomlover77

I honestly thought TNT was better than Plutonia. Some great music and maps especially System Control, Prison, Processing Area, Mill and Pharaoh are my faves. I made progress much better in TNT than Plutonia where I wasn’t dying so often compared with Plutonia. Lastly TNT’s difficulty was just right where Plutonia was way too hard. Does anyone agree ? @Doomlover77

Just want to say, a Wonderful issue of The Doom Wadazine ! One small error. On the 50 Doom 1 Wads of 1994 Coopers Creosote is featured twice, once on page 39 & again on page 40. Bleak House & Cathedral are for Doom II. @Doomlover77

Hey I started wadding in December 1995 using DEU2 then a gap of two months, Feb 1996, started again, then I took another 3 month gap to end of May 1996 switching to DeeP 8.35 shareware and did some more wads in June 1996 and another 7 month gap. I then started properly in Jan 1997 again using DeeP. But My first wads were just test maps just to see what I can do. I don’t own any of my first test wads anymore but have kept my proper wads from 1997 onwards. @Doomlover77

I made a WAD based on my Bromsgrove College campus in 2001 and since then I’ve updated it over the years, and in 2021 it was finally done. There’s the old & new campuses plus Redditch college i attended in 1995-2001. I attended Bromsgrove College from Sep 2001 to May 2011. The old campus was demolished in 2004 & the new campus was built in 2005. @Doomlover77 here’s the zip file. Zdbccnw2new.zip Download & unzip to your Gzdoom folder and double click the .BAT file. Good luck and happy Dooming. It’s to be run with Doom2 under the latest version of Gzdoom / Zdoom. Or you can drag & drop the Zip file onto Gzdoom.exe / Zdoom.exe. Map 6 is a training course, map 7 is the new Bromsgrove campus, map 30 is the old Bromsgrove campus and map 31 is the Redditch campus.

My favourite shovelware map is Dm2pak04 m19 ‘9-to-5’. Under vanilla Doom2 it was an appalling mess with HOM & unclosed sectors. @Doomlover77

It was the shareware version of doom v1.666 in July 1995 and the 32x version of Doom in August 1995. Good times. Love Doom. @Doomlover77
