  1. usually substances but that's because i'm a grunt so naturally i cope by use of substances
  2. to make tf2 open source, because in the end, making any software open source means that first you need to fully own the software. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Havok_(software) Valve doesn't fully own Source. Or maybe even Source 2. Valve not writing a physics engine from scratch has legitimately damaged the future of source games. I'd consider going open source, public domain, or equivalent to be the final "good ending" of all human thoughts and creations - artistic works, machines, tools, knowledge, all of it. Remembered, used, developed further, and part of the world as it is. It's beautiful, honestly. But, because Havok will likely not go open source - or at least in any such manner that would retroactively give permission to Valve to release their VPhysics engine as open source, and by consequence all the games of the Source Engine era will not go open source, unless an underground scene to make a reverse-engineered source port spawns - see Xash3D and Blood. It could take a fucking while, and honestly, I feel like the extremely toxic communities that Source games have for some reason would entirely fail to produce a fully-featured equivalent to Xash3D or NBlood. They'll just end up fucking doxxing and swatting and robbing and sexually abusing eachother - with the occasional IRL murder - like they have been for the last 20 fucking years.
  3. microsoft and its consequences have been a FUCKING DISASTER for software development
  4. just snitch on him to hr already, this is a white collar job and i have absolutely no desire to quell the gasoline fire that is employee culture in 90% of white collar environments. Just get that guy out, turn the world against him as he would've had upon you. Then don't do it again lmfao
  5. I live in the state, under the martial and legal rule of, the Canadian people - who live out East, between the lakes of Huron, Ontario, and Erie, vaguely bordered to the north by Ottawa river until it reaches the St. Lawrence, wherein the St. Lawrences coastlines plus about 80 or so miles out also find themselves included. Those people, with their material needs, historical influences, and cultural backgrounds are whom that lord over me. I am not one of them. I was born in Alberta, about 100 miles north of Montana. I have never seen the oceans of the world, nor have I met someone whose native tounge is French. I have nigh nothing in common with those of Laurentia - the place where "Canadian people" live. I have entirely different societal needs and an entirely different worldview. I live in a place that is realistically so far removed from Laurentia, where the laws and political policy in which I live under are written, that if we as groups never had any further communication, we would speak an entirely different language in only a millenia. We are not the same, and therefore we are foreign to eachother. And due to the election system we live under, and the simple reality that our land is far more barren leading to a lower population, we do not have even remotely fair representation. Our interests are seen as second-priority, and we are suffering for it. I am not represented by the Canadian government, as an Albertan, and yet they literally tax me. They're stealing from me. anyways yeah nah mate I'm not a Canadian, I'm an Albertan. If there was considerate reform to the current Canadian Parliament to accomidate not only the individual needs of Alberta as does it accomidate that of every other province, then I would consider changing that. Until then, I'm an Albertan. Don't get me confused.
  6. Uncle Sam? His slice? I'm Canadian and this is over-the-table work. My wages are nearing $20 per hour officially, but due to taxes slim out to as low as about $13 per hour - rounding down. My money isn't going to Uncle Sam's new toys, it's going to Justin's Onlyfans subscriptions.
  7. look i just make that face when im high as hell, and i got a whole lot else to complain about
  8. Eyup, just did day #4. I've done under-the-table roofing and concrete prep before so "hard work" to me is just "work". Rode around on the fucking john deere three-wheeler on the roadway doing hand signals like an idiot transporting company tools around the neighbourhood.
  9. I get to work great hours (7 to 3), keep myself in good health, and basically play IRL multiplayer minecraft shooting the shit with some of the funniest, most considerate, and wise people I've ever met. [im a landscaper]
