i download random single-level wads from idgames, usually theyre pretty run of the mill but this one blew me away so i decided to look it up assuming there would be a thread somewhere. it's a really good map. very difficult also, i'm still pushing through (UV) and its taking a while. i really like how everything is so detailed. i noticed some missing textures and also some erroneous sky transfers, pictures below (taken on v1.5 downloaded from here). this is on nugget but its the same on prboom+, probably a software renderer issue. i think there maybe have been some other minor issues but i didnt think they were too important so i didnt take notes. for example, these lindefs bleeding into the ground (maybe intentional?)

It's actually simpler than you think E.g. to create a dedicated config for the mod Siren, you'll use -config siren.ini which will create a config file called "siren" (the name is unimportant, it doesnt need to match the mod's title) You can also use an autoexec.cfg so your settings don't completely reset each time, but thats optional. -

sorry if this is a silly question but is there a full documentation of all the available launch options? there are a lot of convenient features like longtick, recordfromto, dsdademo etc. but they don't seem to be mentioned outside of patch notes sometimes

Thanks for the update, big fan of dark mode + stacked tabs. There's this one weird bug I noticed; If a file already had comments written before this update, if you edit the comments the number of maps will drop to 0. Doesn't seem to happen with newly written comments, only if the comments were written in a previous version. example; https://i.imgur.com/ZGUPjVu.mp4 -

Would be cool if there was a consolidated place for everyone to share the NUGHUDs they've made. I've made a compilation of the ones people have posted so far; NUGHUD 2077 by Alaux Pantheon's Hud And of course liPillON's Huds Full Status Bar, Modern, Minimal (minimal is my favourite) InterDoom Pillars, Crispy (zip also comes with Full Status Bar & Modern) @AlauxWould it be possible for you to share the wads/lumps for the HUDs you've shown? Maybe you have before but I couldn't find them. Namely the ones posted here and here in the spoilers. Same to you @ Oplexitie, sorry to bother you about a 7 month old reply but your HUD looks nice so I was wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing it. Oplexitie's Huds (as seen here)

Sorry for double posting but I thought this was funny (i also need help) I'm trying to install the windows re-release of an old DOS game (Boppin') and when I try to run the launcher it gives me a Doom Launcher error? Boppin downloaded from https://jenniverse.com/boppin main.html -

hello, i played this after downloading it from idgames. my thoughts: the map's size is it's biggest strength, it has mines, forest, and cliffs. i think this alone is pretty neat. 13 secrets in total is also pretty cool as it is a lot (which is a good thing) the combat wasnt very challenging. bfg was an overkill for sure but it doesn't hurt i guess as it doesnt impact the gameplay much my main criticisms are; -the archvile trap this was a bit awkward because of a couple reasons; i) it's not clear to the player that they'll get locked in this room if they don't exit out immediately ii) while exiting, the middle archvile can still hit you (i think? didn't happen to me) based on RNG, and iii) these archviles aren't crushed or anything later so it's impossible to 100% this map -the spiderdemon fight unless i'm wrong, i think the player has to jump in the spiderdemon's pit to get the pit to raise up. this seems weird because you don't really have any options against her in the pit, all you can do is to SSG her and pray she goes into her painstate. if your health is too low you're gonna die 100% in this section even if you play perfectly. -overall polish is a bit lacking. a lot of these are subjective but e.g. the underground 3D bridge is lower than the ground itself when its lowered, so the imp (where you have the arachnotron + hell knight) is sunken into the ground. or the midtextures on the final elevator are interrupted by the bars surrounding the elevator. this is understandable but also avoidable to be fair that last part is just me nitpicking. overall i liked the scope of the map. -

Small bug I noticed on version 3.6.5.0. If an iwad zip archive has a file in it that alphabetically comes before the actual wad, then Doom Launcher will try to load that file instead. Case below; action2.txt comes before action2.wad so it'll be considered the actual iwad file by the launcher. EDIT: I've found another bug. I'm not sure what's causing it because I wasn't having any issues with this before, but currently I can't edit details of screenshots I've imported manually (as opposed to screenshots I've taken myself) Error message: -
Hey, I'm having the same issue. When I try to get Slade to "remove unused textures", it asks me to tick them manually. Shift-selecting doesn't seem to work. Is there a shortcut for this?

as mentioned, you can just extract the files with 7zip and look around, though you'll need to convert the image files to browse them comfortably (usually just adding ".png" as an extension works, but not always) alternatively you can browse the .pk3 archive with slade, which will show you the image files without issue. pumpkin rick is "ATF6B0" under sprites, here it is zoomed in 10 times using nearest neighbour (to keep it pixelated);

Yes. 4.8.0 will give that error, but later versions (even 4.8.1) won't. might as well update to the latest version (4.10.0) while you're at it. as a rule of thumb, if you get an error on a gzdoom mod/map that other people aren't getting, it's probably because you need to update (or occasionally downgrade, if the mod is older)
