I just played this for the first time, and my God. It's a minimalist masterpiece. I love the design bite-sized arenas, the sophisticated-yet-rough hewn visuals, and the texture and gameplay additions are just spectacular. This has elevated to one of my favorites, and an easy "play to instantly feel better" wad for me. :D Excited for 300 line massacre, if it ever happens. But if not, this was just fucking rad. <3

About reviewing old mods/wads (and video games in general)
BeetBeardTheBrave replied to ReaperAA's topic in Doom General
In my opinion, if something inspired you or captured your imagination as a kid, it deserves to be lauded for making a personal change, and is not invalid for that reason. But it's also important to be circumspect, and not be butthurt if people don't love something just the same as you. Climates of opinion and personal tastes all affect how and why we enjoy things, after all. So like what you like and be happy that it lives as something uniquely inspiring to you. -

Thanks, @NiGHTS108! This is my first mapping effort, to it means a lot that you liked it. Obviously the fantastic detailing by LVENdead and inspired layout by Sneezy carry most of the weight here, so mad props to them. :D I agree, adding a few revs or something to spice up the final cyber showdown would make that fight more fun. Do you have a preferred date to submit such changes, or are you ok publishing as is? Thanks for the feedback. <3

I occasionally lose interest in playing for a few days or weeks at a time, but I still enjoy letsplays and engaging with the community in that time. It's just so vital and fun as a gaming and art scene. It's hard to properly tire of.

What were your very first mapping attempts like?
BeetBeardTheBrave replied to Li'l devil's topic in WAD Discussion
Playing Graveyard was a wonderful confidence builder. If a master of mapping like Pavera can make stuff like this, maybe I can be great too! :D -
You must choose between all WADs before or after 2010.
BeetBeardTheBrave replied to Hayden49's topic in Doom General
I only started playing Doom in late 2021, and most of the stuff I've enjoyed playing has been post-BTSX, and therefore Post-2010. Mapping (to me) felt like it matured and became more fun/skill-focused(as opposed to spectacle/experimentation focused), while the detailing quality continued to improve in this time. Plus there has been just so much dynamite that has come out since then (the entirety of Skillsaw's work, to name a subset that I like). And there are many sets that hearken back to the days of old, and pay respect to it, so it feels like you can have your cake and eat it too.
