  5. I think it just spawns in the same place, so when you jump without moving you just jump upwards. And when you move, it automatically stays behind you. You don't really need a projectile to perform a vile attack on yourself, btw, I have tried and done that with just pistol states, but it becomes a bit more finicky. If you are going to dive deeper into how this dehacked works, I would love to hear more details myself.

  9. Altars of Madness Stretching the requirements just a little bit, because it has 12 maps, but they are all really short. The set is really good and has very memorable visuals.
  10. It has already happened. I have traveled back in time, shown the id team TNT3. They got inspired and created e1m1 based on map 5 as a tribute.

  13. I think that's pretty neat, although it should be pretty hard to have both references and different gameplay for each map. I feel like these 2 ideas (iwad references and different gameplay styles) would work better as two separate wads, not as one wad.

  17. Finished the rest of the submissions. I think we got a super-creative mapset overall, big thanks to @MFG38 for coming up with the idea and hosting the project and to everyone for participating and making these amazing maps. I have definitely learned a few cool tricks while making the map for it and playing other submissions. Some personal thoughts on the final two submissions, subjective as always so take it with a grain of salt. @alexsa2015sa @MFG38
  18. I was extremely busy with IRL stuff so couldn't playtest the rest of the submissions earlier, hopefully I will be able to do that now. I played the most recent versions posted. @Dr. Zin @knifeworld I will try to finish the two remaining submissions tomorrow :)

Sky: SKYHX3D from 32in24-15_tex_v2 Format: Boom Difficulty Settings: No Gimmicks Used: 1. Beach Map 2. A Pirate Ship or Boat (this is the worst pirate boat in the history of doom mapping, I'm so sorry) 3. Map Inspired by its music selection Build Time: 1 hour and 10 minutes. I then spent almost an hour playtesting it, but no changes to layout or the fight ideas, only balancing and bugfixing. 95% of that time was spent in the game, not in the editor. Comments: Attempted to make a normal map this time. Turns out avoiding complex voodoo doll closets and platforming sections saves so much time for other things...   21. Nice episode. Regarding the map that uses the revenants' missiles ability to trigger linedefs - the most famous one should be Map 32 from 1000 Lines 2 CP by Aurelius. The map is a one huge puzzle heavily based on that gimmick, but it also has a number of pretty difficult puzzle fights and experimental setups.

Because it works fine for me in dsda-doom -complevel 21 on all difficulties, cannot really reproduce it.
