@Bri I've seen you mentioning "future update" a few times, so the RC4 version isn't final? If so, can you please tell when (approximately) are you planning to release new version and which maps will be affected? It's just that I started making some demos then it came to my attention that you were planning updates.

When I saw the screenshots and checked the comments I expected it to be good-looking, but not THAT good-looking. I generally love both tech-base visuals and water-filled visuals in doom, so this wad just hit the spot for me. Great work on details! And gameplay itself is fun, too. Especially map 06. I agree with ZeMystic that gib replacement sound is kinda out of place, though, but yeah it's a very minor thing. Hope to see more releases from you in the future, this is great stuff.

DSDA page Jumpwad is 7-level platforming wad created by Ribbiks and Grain of Salt. Suggested file code is jumpXXYYZZ where XX is the map number, YY is the category, ZZ is the time. Since it's quite unconventional, there may be some questions regarding the interpretation of the UV-MAX category. After some discussion in doom speedrunning discord, the preliminary rules for the wad are the following: UV-MAX requires not just all kills and secrets, but also all items. And it does not require Eternal Golden Flame. However, if you did collect Eternal Golden Flame, please state it in some note, it will most probably be accounted for in one way or another. Note from Maribo: Any Pacifist exits should be labeled as UV-Speed. Also, runs on "No Snow" and "Some Snow" should be counted as UV, but if you did demo on -skill 2 or -skill 3, explicitly state so in the txt. This approach may be a subject to change, and demos may be recategorized, but they should not be invalidated. Note: the wad wad updated on June 24th, 2022, all the demos stayed in sync, but please be sure to download the newest version for the future demos. Agree. Items count was clearly designed in this wad to be used for maxing, running this strictly under traditional categories definitions would not fulfil Jumpwad's full potential. Due to completely different routes, I personally think "all kills, secrets and items" and "all kills, secrets, items and eternal flame" would look good as separate categories. That said, a couple of demos. It makes no sense to separate demo based on difficulty settings for this wad, though, as they only affect visuals. I think all of the difficulties should be considered UV for this wad, but that's also something that must be somehow explicitly stated in the rules. -

Is getting the flame required for the UV-MAX demo or not? Or these should be separate categories (with vs without flame) similar to solo-net stuff? On one hand, it's part of the collectibles, on the other it does not count towards either kills, items or secrets. I also assume UV-MAX requires all items, right? -
I'd like to nominate Altars of Madness. This wad consists of 12 maps. It has it all: creative encounter design, resulting in challenging but fair fights, beautiful visuals with each map having its own color theme, cool secrets, great midi selection - and all of that leads to a great experience overall with certain educational value for those who want to practice micro-slaughterish crumped space encounters.

Finished the wad, it's great. Combat is challenging but always fair. Really liked how map 11's concept of only having a berserk and a rocket launcher for the whole map was implemented. My only minor criticism is I have no idea how it's possible to figure it out without UDB except for randomly noticing it, but maybe it's just me being stupid. Otherwise the secrets are very good: hidden, but all the tips are there, and they are very rewarding. Will surely make some demos when it's on idgames. -
