  1. ever wonder where that random maintenance door in that dark corner leads you to? (bonus: guess the time period this office space was inspired by!)
  2. was expecting something far worse based on the thread title but this is extremely tasteful and creative. well done ! looks fantastic and im excited to play.
  3. There is a still-activated thermonuclear bomb situated 50 feet underneath your house
  4. that 1st screen is glorious. love all the maps showing your location as well as the grimy industrial area with the pipe. amazing work 😁
  5. my most sincere apologies to all the virtual citizens who have to work in this hyper brutalist office complex fun bonus picture of the very first iteration of this area ever...
  6. cough cough yume nikki cough cough
  7. the breakdown of this song is like being ejected into fucking space, surviving, and then somehow all of time reverses right before your eyes and you watch as the entire universe unravels in the span of a minute
  8. i wonder if any other mappers get stuck in the "making my first map but i keep redoing sections, removing sections and adding sections" phase. thats where i am right now. ill look at an old section, dislike it, revamp it entirely, then see another section, repeat. oh, and then i spend like 10 hours on visual areas out of bounds 🤣🤣🤣 at this rate, ill last as long as this development hell does
  9. glad you picked up on the horror tones! my inspiration was silent hill if tech base and atmospheric rather than inherently creepy. my level is a mixture of a cold arctic base housing shipping crates, and the previously mentioned atmospheric industrial zones inside the walls. the more i work on the industrial zones, the more i want to ditch the arctic areas all together.
  10. here are some more pictures from my first map that im still working on and completely forgot about for a few months. these pictures are taken from the sweltering industrial zones inside the walls of a top secret arctic facility! p.s any tips on how to get lighting right? it always puts me off when the lighter areas look the way they do
  11. if i had a dollar for every time ive seen a huge city inside of a cave in doom, id have 2 dollars. best 2 dollars ill ever earn 😎
