    @Paulkdragon I use GZ Doom or DSDA Doom (when playing WADs on the work PC) with one of those top of the screen things that tells you kill secret and item count I don't remember the name of the one I use would have to look on the work computer it's a bunch of random letters was posted on here about a month ago that's all I use the port and the hud info thing.

    @fruity lerlups @vanilla_d00m @Zerofuchs @Jimmy @OniriA many of you have heard me say many difficult things about this and it is for this exact reason when I went to my last big Doom break before becoming active here on DooM World and creating YT content for DooM I had reached the point where I could 100% all main games on Ultraviolence I didn't know of any modern WADs nor did I mess with Nightmare as far as I knew I had completed what Doom had to offer. Than it happened thanks to @MtPain27 and Deceino both covering it I decided to give it a try. And Going Down WAD (Download Link) by Cyriak absolutely redefined for me how hard modern DooM has gotten 5 deaths figuring out how to survive map 01. 4 on Map 2 and literal days to get past Map 11 Vivisection. This WAD forces you to get better to proceed. You are: 1. Usually having to be aware of ammo. 2. Always in a confined space. 3. Being hit with absolute waves of enemies. It always feels like you don't have enough room to deal with what you're dealing with but you absolutely can beat every Map even Decino himself took multiple deaths in the mid-later half. Every Map you complete feels like an absolute accomplishment. There was a time I though DooM had nothing else to offer. Now...I still can't get past Map13 on UV (Pistol Start). Below are some screenshots to show how Wild this map is. If you have not tried it absolutely give it a shot and if you think DooM has gotten easy Pistol Start all 32 I Triple Dog Dare You 😎😂

    @apichatpong I feel many people had the wrong initial impression of me when they heard I've been playing since 94 and uploading full runs on my channel; many got the impression I was a Speed Runner. However that's not what I enjoy doing with the game. Instead I love to explore and walk people through levels so that once they see the video they can then go themselves and beat it on nightmare difficulty. Or get a better speed. It's almost like DooM ASMR. You've heard me mention it but now I finally have a good opportunity to show off @Dragonfly amazing work with my favorite DooM WAD made to this date Eviternity. With my favorite map to this date Map19 - Dehydration. As I mentioned earlier this is a map I could get lost in for hours. I'll show you only part of it below with enemies taken out. Now imagine by the end of this: You're not even halfway through the level (haven't even found all secrets). Add to this you have little ammo to work with and over 500 monsters placed in realistic believable places (not all of them are just in a pit in the middle). Take note of all of the Lighting / Lifts / Textures / Laser Grid System / Believable Crushers / Moving Platforms / Automatic Doors / Shootable Switches that actually make sense. Again you're not even half way through by the end of this and it's only a guided look at what is normally a constantly struggle for survival through this massive complex. This is why I always use this as a measuring stick of a true Exploration Map with plenty of things to see and do. This is the standard I would like to see more mappers work to top.

    @prfunky @pritch Decino can explain this way more intricately than I can if you don't want to watch the whole thing just skip to about a minute 30 seconds he shows what all happens in the code to make this happen and how you can exploit it I've triggered it a few times before.

    I have mentioned before when I Playtest and review WADs in development there are a few things I always look favorably to: 1. All 3 or more Keys. 2. No Linearity, let us explore. 3. Intigration of Crushers to aid in combat scenarios. 4. No Locked out or missable secrets. 5. Make each level looks as real as possible to what it's depicting. None captures the DooM Cute and premise more than this. My favorite DooM Map ever created courtsey of @Dragonfly who created my favorite WAD (this map comes from) still to this day, Eviternity (Download Link) Map19 Dehydration. Let yourself get lost in the run through this amazing piece of architecture. See how doors, platforms, switches, laser grids, pressure plates, lifts, all work hand in hand to make this place come to life. Now imagine this map has over 500 enemies placed in places that make it feel even more real. Finally imagine by the end of this guided experience that you're not even quite halfway through the map!

    This is because currently I am running the following projects in their own separate Playlists. Guided Walkthroughs w/Commentary & Timestamps for accessibility for: DooM (all 6 Episodes) // DooM 2 // DooM 2016 Because it's w/Commentary they're recorded on the PS4 so they have the bad quality. The WADs I have playlists running for: Woody's World // Liminal DooM 2 // Final DooM Playstation Version These look great because their on my suped up work computer on my breaks. But since I'm in a cubicle can't record audio / commentary with anything. Seems like having a cpu that can run worst case 2016 / Eternal means. Everything can be done on the computer and I don't have to do some at work, some on the PS4. That's what I mean, streamlining the process moving forward. I thank everyone for their helpful suggestions I'm bookmarking and marking down all of these specs. as I've given myself 1-3 months to make whatever change needs to happen because ultimately that'll limit all of the content that may need remade down the road.

    I have the original Playstation 4. It displays on the TV everything in 1080P. However when you do a Screen Capture of any of the games and either save it to a USB to upload on the CPU. Or use it's internal Share Factory (what I normally do). It saves the captures in 720P resolution. Not 1080P. From what I've researched both the Playstation 4 PRO will record 1080P Screen Captures. So will the PS5. That's why I've been stuck on whether to upgrade the PS4 to the PS5 (Ps4 pro makes no sense it's still over 400 online). Or go with the CPU. I'm mainly leaning CPU because if I can get it to run DooM 2016 than I can move everything to the CPU. Get Skyrim for it to cover that let's play series. I already have all of the classic games and Wads. Seems like it'd go further having the PC and the PS5 could come later. P.S. -- You have no idea how furious I was when I discovered this because everything on my side shows 1080P but yes apparently that was a limitation of the original PS4 and only notice when watching some of the videos back adding in their Time Stamps (cause looks normal when I edit them in Sharefactory). Want to correct it now before I get into the bigger more interesting things like Eternal and Ancient Aliens / Plutonia / Eviternity type stuff.

    Exactly why I've said I've played since 94 either cpu or PS1 lol. The trouble is working as an Engineer I always have a fast computer at work for everything I do. So having a fast one at home never became a priority until I wanted to start recording my runs on pc to get better quality than the PS4's dismal 720P ='( Now that I have the PC up and running I'll have to crack open the old vault and reveal what all of the WADs I have are. I bet most of them won't even be around anymore because I was one of those who would download everything and keep it whether I liked it or not lol. I literally have an almost 10 page library last I remembered (yes I'm absoutely a completionist I have a checklist for ever single WAD I download to make sure I've completed them all) XD But back to this if anyone else has any other opinions if anything can be upgraded to make it able to record the Classic Games and WADs that's really all I need out of it. Record footage and audio with at least a 1080P result. If that's a new PC than any suggestions that isn't a fortune is greatly appreciated. I mentioned on my channel I hope to have whatever needs fixed and straightend out done within the next 1-3 months max. Thank you again for all of your help!

    @Redneckerz @Blzut3 @DoomGater @TheMagicMushroomMan Okay everyone here are updates after my hours long fight to get my home computer to a workable state (it's actually moving much quicker now): Background History: This PC was built as a Windows 7 computer back in 2014 (was new then). When Windows 10 came out it was updated via CD to Windows 10 64 bit. Specs: (See Screenshots below) 1. All updates have been performed. 2. Disc Clean up was run. 3. Avast was put on and cleared off 2 viruses. CPU is currently Virus & Malware Free. 4. DooM was run however GZ DooM failed because apparently there's no OpenGL or Vulcan available for this PC (verified all drivers are updated) 5. I got DooM WADs even more recent ones like Eviternity to run on DSDA DooM but the resolution is stuck on Software and somehow the Mouse is not working even though it says it's enabled and works when normally using the computer???? This has me scratching my head why the mouse won't do anything I'll see if it'll let me screenshot it. No Mouse works in any capacity. It doesn't move, cycle weapons, or fire. Only the keyboard makes anything happen? Please let me know if you think this is something that can be resolved by updating the graphics card. Or if there's another way to get the Open GL/Vulcan to work. If doing that will allow for Screen Recording since seen above it is not allowed due to restraints mentioned. And finally even if I have to run in DSDA DooM why is the mouse not working? Is there a setting off because the cpu says there are no drivers needing updated even if done under Device Manager individually. Thank you all for your help. This will let me know if it's worth trashing this and going with something new or if there's a way to upgrade parts of this to make it run for all of the classic games.

    Thank you Mushroom Man. When I get home from work (get off at 5:30) I'll start the bucket of bolts up and give all of the specifics! Yes I figurerd 4K may be way outside of Recording capability I just noticed youtube had an option for it I had only known 1080P as the highest apparently it keeps going now lol.
