i5 3570k
Biostar TZ77XE3
Geil EVO Veloce 16GB DDR3 (2 x 8GB)
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus
What I already have:
Fractal Design Define XL R2 - Titanium Grey Case
XFX Radeon HD6950 2GB
Sandisk Extreme 120GB SSD, 6GB/S
Toshiba 2TB 7200 RPM
Caviar Green 750GB
Peripherals:
Acer P235H 23 inch monitor
2 Craigslist special IRC monitors, both 21 inch Dell, one that rotates
Topping TP-30 USB DAC/Chip Amp
Polk TSi100 Bookshelf Speakers
Filco Majestouch Ninja Mechanical Keyboard - MX Browns
Logitech G400
I'm upgrading from an early Phenom II black edition, a dual core miraculously unlocked quite stably to quad. On a sad little DDR2 Mobo. This setup should do me well for gaming for quite a while.- Show previous comments 3 more

Heh, as nice as it is to type/game on a mechanical keyboard, I could never make the plunge and purchase one. I feel like the percussive noise of those things is enough to drive my roommate/neighbors insane... as if the loud music and drumming isn't enough.
Other than Buckling Springs and Cherry MX Blues, they aren't particularly loud. -
You can get dampeners for mechanical switches to reduce noise.
I love the MX518 and I got a G400 about a year ago. The G400 surface slips out of my hand so I swapped the shells and chassis of them and I use the G400 chassis/518 shell one and I keep the other as a backup. Later on I put electrical tape on the side of the G400 shell one and that helps.
I built a computer with a 3570K and filco cherry brown am about to put up a blog post soon.
