  1. Not to derail this awesome thread but there's a great browser add-on that restores annotations on Youtube videos that once had them (including this one). I believe annotations are actually still accessible on older videos, they're just not viewable by default. This map is fairly interesting btw, must have been a bitch to route though.
  2. Suspended in Dusk Category 1 Died in 42:40 dwim_suzerduzer_sid.zip Died to a really mean AV trap in MAP03. I've never played anything from Espi before but this was a really cool set, I feel like you can see the foundation for a lot of modern mappers here (minus all the startan usage). Wish i would have gotten a SSG earlier though, I'm sure I missed it in a secret somewhere. B/\|_||-|/\|_|S Category 2 Died in 34:11 dwim_suzerduzer_bh.zip One of my favorite mapsets of all time so i was excited to play this one, luckily was able to squeeze this in at the end of the month. I really enjoy the architecture and colors throughout the whole wad but MAP02's house is probably my favorite overall. Would have liked to show off on this one but ended up dying to a zombieman on MAP04 like an idiot lol, forgot how brutal health can be on that map.
  3. Really like the lighting on this map, super pretty overall. Nice work!
  4. I thought this would be just a shitpost but it honestly rules. I want more mini mapsets like this for other wads.
  5. You might like Swift Death by franckFRAG, it's a megawad of mostly tiny maps that can kill you very quickly. Lots of fun, small encounters in it. I don't really remember many infighting focused encounters in it but they're definitely limited on supplies & health. I like to play this one when I can't think of ideas for enemy encounters. jq2 by Ribbiks is also pretty similar, there's only 5 maps so you can beat it pretty quickly but it has a lot of very cramped fights & tight layouts. It's pretty underrated imo. You should also try Darkest Room by Paul977. It's a single map that is very much focused on ammo scarcity & difficult combat. The encounters may be a bit more than what you're asking for but I think it's one of the best maps ever in terms of using few monsters in devastating ways.
  6. I use SoBad's Doom Launcher for basically everything nowadays, it has a good layout and is very simple to use. It's also really good for quickly recording / loading demos. My only real complaint with it is that switching launchers is kind of inconvenient compared to some other launchers, but I basically just use DSDA for everything nowadays so it doesn't really bother me. It doesn't work with pk3s or other ZDoom mods but I personally don't use any of those. I used to use ZDL but it's sort of outdated and I had a lot of issues with it so I ended up switching over, but I still keep it around for weird things like loading custom Doom64 episodes or whatnot.
  7. Survived in 33:12, Category 1 DSDA v.27.5 hommage25_suzerduzer.zip I've never done one of these blind demo runs before and I quite like franckfrag's sets so I thought it would be a good time to join in. Pretty fun, I really liked the Courtyard themed map, one of my favorites from Doom II. Probably could have gone a bit faster but I didn't realize until re reading the thread that I didn't have to go for 100% kills lol.
  8. Cool first map, I really enjoyed it. I liked the use of chaingunners, and the secret blue armor that repopulates the cave area was a nice surprise encounter. I thought the dark areas were cool too, you don't really see that sort of heavy lighting contrast much anymore.
  9. Awesome set of maps once again. I really liked map09, especially the Wet Dry World skybox :P
  10. I'll claim map27, I should be able to start working on it soon after Christmas.
  11. I missed out completely on Afternoon, I'll have to check it out at some point. It's insane to me how many MIDIs Korp has created in the past year or so lol. I don't want to write an entire post about it so I suppose I'll say it here that I was quite happy to see El Viaje de Diciembre take one of the runner-up awards this year. The atmosphere it creates really captured me, it feels very lived in, but also like it died long before you ever arrived. Its really inspired me and influenced the current project I'm working on.
  12. Idk that was my best guess lol, I don't know what other reason anyone would pay for this is. Maybe if you wanted to pay him to appear in a youtube video or something.
  13. Sweet map, had a lot of fun playing through it. The combination of the green and the darker OTEX stuff works well together. My only problem was that the lift texture kind of blended into the rest of the architecture, making it kind of tough to identify them as lifts. Other than that though I really enjoyed it, happy 30th!
  14. I'm assuming this is for press stuff or interviews. Even if I had the money to burn, what would I even talk to him about? Seems like an awkward way to waste 100 dollars lol.
  15. Unbelievable, I'll get around to fixing it soon, ill just keep the mediafire link up.
