  1. Loved playing the entire WAD, but Map 01 especially hooked me. I wonder if there are megawads who share same atmosphere and aesthetics, not taking Wormwood into account
  2. I second that. Hate it, when the map basically forces you to Tyson
  3. My personal favourites are Ancalagon, Killer5 and Kinetic. These guys are rad as hell
  4. I'd suggest recording demos and rendering them via viddump. You can choose any quality you want, as far as your PC can handle it
  5. This reminded me of Saya no Uta (visual novel). Kinda shares the same gore aesthetics
  6. I believe Grove belongs on this list. It may not be as intense as other entries, but I believe Grove should be included for being probably the first unconventional Doom experience for many players back in the day
  7. For me it definitely is the entirety of Ultimate Doom Episode 3. Combat is exhausting, mapping is complicated in a way that you constantly get lost and don't know where to go. Hellish esthetique looks dumb, as it was simply done for grotesque, without any actual artistic thought behind it
  8. For me it was Return to Castle Wolfenstein, around 2006 or 2007. Found the game on dad's work laptop. Initially I considered it to be something like Call of Duty, as CoD was the only FPS I knew at the time and I basically referred to any shooter as something CoD-like. I didn't even know at that point that horror games exist, that's why I went on unsuspecting of what was coming. I really liked the beginning, but the underground / catacombs levels scared the shit out of me, especially zombie-skeletons. I even had nightmares for some time after that
