  1. May I add to this? I think this project would benefit more if the cap on whichever map is taken is removed. Who cares if we get a lot of E1M1s and/or MAP01s mixed with other maps. As long as they are all unique and original, I'd play them.
  2. True, but the Amalgoom project was more strict on the maps/mashups being in order (E1M1+MAP01, E1M2+MAP02, etc) rather than creative freedom this project provides; plus there's TNT and Plutonia involved here too. It can make finding matching map(s) a bit difficult imho.
  3. Well it's not mandatory to use mashups, but it does add to what the project is going for and also a challenge for musicians to try out. Jimmy and Silentzorah have done their own handful of mashups for people to use along with any new pieces any musician would like to throw into the ring. ;)
  4. Damn, I have made midi mashups for Nuclear Plant/Waste Tunnels, Containment Area/Spirit World, and Deimos Anomaly/Hanger (this one is subpar though) and sadly they can't be used here because one or more of these maps are already used with another. :(

Making maps for the actual hardware requires more hurdles to jump over in regards to the PSX's limitations, also the conversion is finicky as well since we still don't have the full tools yet (thanks GEC). PsyDoom is easier to tackle mainly because the maps can be loaded directly from the folder they're in and it's limit-removing so we can go nuts with pretty much anything.
  6. Or maybe just an actual CP dedicated to PsyDoom would be better. We did it before for Doom 64 (CChest64 and Ethereal Breakdown) so it shouldn't be too hard.

  8. I don't want to be the bad guy or anything, but I have a gut feeling this is going to end up the same way another project did in the past: I hope that doesn't happen and by all means go for it, but LGBTQ+ is a very polarizing subject no matter what.
  9. Of course, they still have to be built from scratch though because of the rules.
  10. Use UDMF dude. You can directly add colored lighting in the sector options without having to go through hoops with scripting.
  11. @Dusty_Rhodes and @Matthias are more active on Discord than here (the server dedicated to this project included). Matthias relays project updates from the Discord server to here most of the time, but will also occasionally come here to see how things are going.

  13. Alright, I'm gonna be honest with you all, I can never get a new map or mapset out because I always end up in Mapper's block every time.  I have several unfinished maps sitting on my drive rotting and I might need some help finishing them.

    I am open for collaborations if anyone wants to join me and finishing my projects.

  14. You can, but you have to edit all the settings in the launcher to match the actual hardware limitations.
