After 7 years of development, a new stable version of the Doomsday Engine has been released. After a few months of no releases, the Doomsday Engine team have released Doomsday 1.9.0-beta6.9. In this release are plenty of bug fixes and a few new features like the DOOM screenwipe. For more info check the release notes here. To download, visit the Doomsday Engine's homepage.

Doomsday 1.9-beta6.7 has just been released for MacOSX and Windows, with a tarball coming soon. This release is aimed at fixing the bugs found since the release of beta6. Read more about it here and get it from the Doomsday engine website.

Just over a month after the release of Doomsday 1.9 beta-6 is the release of Doomsday 1.9 beta-6.1. It is bug fix release to fix most of the bugs discovered in beta-6. Grab it from the Doomsday homepage.

The Doomsday development team have finally released doomsday 1.9 beta-6 after just over two years since the release of beta-5. It's available for Windows, MacOSX and Linux. You can download it here, and you can read the change log here.

The Doom Hires texture Pack has just been released and is available here. New in this version are all ICKWALL textures, a few tweaks to some existing textures, and inclusion of Final Doom textures. If anyone wants to help make textures, they can go here.
