  6. I thought the Dean was a little overly harsh to your maps in the PRCP video. Sure they're old, but they're super charming and I love the moods they evoke (plus I maintain that "Dread" is a triumphant epic of a midi). I felt if the perched monsters were making 100% kills that painful, the "it's just not worth it" rule perhaps should've come into play sooner? Playing maps in a years-old community project with a strictly completionist approach is bound to cause someone headaches. I'm sure this discussion has been had already, of course. Just my two cents.
  7. <- I think my hud face (done by the very talented Korp) looks pretty dang cool actually
  8. Just one shy of a full megawad of years, now.

  9. holy shit it me birfday Thanks a ton for these maps, Keagan. Thematically sound, and an entertaining challenge. Much fun was had!
  10. Very cool action-packed levels with dense detailing and relaxing, sombre atmosphere. Perhaps an overabundance of ammo pickups, though? I was absolutely flush with supplies throughout the entire playthrough. Some minor issues: - A couple of gargoyles didn't become active in one of the first rooms in E1M1. It's the room at the bottom of the first set of curved stairs and the gargoyles are placed in a pool of water with a silver shield in it. - The kooky little ZDoom particle fountains are very near and dear to me, but the use of the Heretic teleglitters would be much more appropriate here, I think. They also conform to gravity, so the lowering exit teleporter in E1M2 would definitely be better off using these. Blue glitters are generally used for exits, btw. - This is a subjective opinion of mine but I would say consider turning some dormant enemies into teleport traps. Having, say, an iron lich staring out from a distant location forfeits the element of surprise. Setting up specifically-timed encounters via teleport ambush instead of relying on monster dormancy would keep the player continuously on their toes. Thank you for making more Heretic content! Awesome as always to see.
  11. All good! In case any of you missed it: here's a swanky lyric visualizer video for the title track of the album. I'm still so happy with the chorus of this one. What a monster this track turned out to be. Thanks again to @Velvetic for the absolutely stomping mix, and @KeaganDunn for assistance with the lyrical typography!
  12. A case of "Reply to this topic" clicked instead of "Start new topic"? :P
  13. The album is a month old already! Wow, time flies like a banana... or something. For those who haven't yet checked out the Deluxe Edition of the album on either BandCamp or Spotify, here are the two additional tracks that come with it, plus a blurb on the meanings behind them both.

Please do enjoy "LOVE IS A GATEWAY", featuring the almighty DEREK SHERINIAN, keyboardist for Dream Theater and Sons of Apollo.
  15. Thanks for the kind words, guys. I've been quietly working on my vocal skills on and off for the last decade or so, between voice lessons, choir practice, and a brief time in a band. I'm definitely not the most fantastic at it still, but I have enough fun and confidence with the process of singing that I now feel ready to share my voice with you all. Really hope you enjoy what's to come!
  16. DOWNLOAD/PURCHASE "ANOTHER LAND" LISTEN TO "ANOTHER LAND" on SPOTIFY Here's the next single from the album. 19. Enjoyed this! Played on Smite-Meister. Combat started out strong with the early hellstaff provided for the outright mayhem in the center area, but then things petered out quite rapidly. The final encounter with three single-file iron liches in the exit corridor was a bit of a disappointment. Had no trouble navigating, and I appreciated the more minimalistic approach to detail and the use of varied room shapes. There may however be an overreliance on the Baker's Legacy textures, and I would recommend selecting fewer distinct types/colors of textures next time - you can still impart a real sense of place and location with just a few textures, since even Heretic's stock set does a lot for creating that kind of atmosphere. I missed the (secret?) Phoenix Rod but never felt I particularly needed it. I found one secret and scored an extra morph ovum which helped me out greatly. Good stuff overall!
  20. ^ How the heck is any of that Doom. Spellbinding.
