    Good small relaxing techbase. The author shows a lot of creativity when it comes to the room shapes, and there are vertical differences between the areas everywhere. The final cacodemons seemed pointless though.

    Very basic level geometry. I guess it is somewhat fitting if you take the Egyptian theme into account, but it results in a lot of simple and repetitive encounters. At least you get a lot of plasma and rockets, so the fights don't take long.

    Way too many demons, cacodemons, and barons to kill, I got bored quickly. The design is clean and pleasant though, a little unusual even.

      It's "魂", but twisted into a point symmetric way. Still, it's hard to figure out though. My Chinese online nickname contains this character, and somebody made that for me.

    I would prefer less gray textures (doesn't help that the sky is white) but otherwise this is a neat adventure map. The highlights are the starting area with multiple floors and the crawl through a ship full of sneaky hitscanners. There are tons of monsters everywhere but none stronger than a demon, so with the amount of rockets provided the gameplay never slows down. Many elaborate secrets to discover too.

      I've not been back long, cool that someone remembers VOH. Especially cool that it's someone whose mapping I respect as much as yours.

       

      I was planning 22 maps and have 16 at least part done... but I've not touched it for probably more than a year. I've recently got the Doom itch back though so if I find time I'll pick it up again.

      Wow, so you're not that far from finish? I hope you can find some time to work on it again.

       

      Just like you I haven't been mapping lately, but there is a new Russian megawad that should be released fairly soon, and I'm currently helping with testing it. I think it will be higher in quality than our previous megawads but also more traditional, so I'm not sure how much attention to expect.

      I'm out of the loop but the Russian community had built a lot of credibility so I'm sure there will be eyes on the new project.

    Nice layout. There are actually some challenging moments with monsters attacking from every direction, especially if you try to rush it. The visuals are basic but stylish and might remind you of early Grain of Salt levels (see Green Goddess).

      Also there was a dude who patented a car with square wheels. The car could go up to 60 km/h.
