The author was a bit lazy and made some needless mazes at the beginning, but overall it's a solid level with good combat scenarios and satisfying progression. I will be generous too.
Quite enjoyable, the level progression has that arcade feel to it. Some non-confusing mandatory secrets and a very good-looking exit room. Too many soulspheres though.
A fun little level. Interesting abstract design and plenty of monsters (including nazis) to kill with RL and BFG. Pretty easy indeed but I somehow got too cocky and died once anyway.
Water does 20% damage, don't fall. Or maybe even better don't play this map at all because all it offers is way too many boring buildings to visit and very few monsters to fight. Interesting teleporter secrets though.
Dunno, mixed feelings. Fights typically involve shooting non-threatening hordes in flat areas and most locations look boxy and a bit boring. On the other hand, the realistic approach to design gives the whole thing a cinematographic feel. The atmospheric start with no monsters is especially good in that aspect. I used Doom Builder for the red key, just didn't notice that a switch appeared in my bathroom. Interesting that the level ends on a religious note.
Can I get a ban for 2 weeks or so pls? And if I like it I'll ask for more. I find it hard to limit my internet activities so a little help would be very welcome.
Considering he hasn't posted in almost a month, I'm guessing the problem's already solved. Not sure if he's gone or banned, mind you. Probably the former.
Probably dragged off to the gulags after making some disparaging remark about comrade Putin, which is a somewhat extreme but effective way to fight Internet addiction.
Visually very pleasant, with creative details everywhere, good soundtrack and a layout that is imo fun to explore and "figure out". I agree the gameplay isn't the best but it was OK for me.
High quality work with many things I don't like (extremely repetitive visuals, most of new gameplay mechanics become "meh" after the novelty wears off, kinda lame challenges that aren't really hard and just give you an illusion of power) and a LOT of filler. The author definitely didn't have enough worthy ideas for 32 maps and he didn't exactly succeed in abandoning his overdone tropes either. But it was overall fun to get through once.
Pretty cool. Shooting smaller missiles (especially rockets) feels a bit weird but it really makes the weapons more convenient to use. Cool explosion effects too.
Extremely short green marble\vines map, not much particularly interesting or memorable happens and it's very easy. You can spend about 90 seconds on it, it's not much.
Stupid monster spam in very boring green areas (only one room looks interesting) with some inescapable pits. I laughed at some of it but yeah, no need to play this.
FUN LEVEL TO EXPLORE WITH LOTS OF COOL LOOKING ROOMS. THE GAMEPLAY IS FAIRLY EASY, YOU'LL PROBABLY HAVE MORE TROUBLES TRYING TO FIND YOUR WAY (MANDATORY SECRETS) THAN FIGHTING. NICE ATMOSPHERIC VIEW AT THE START. I USED PRBOOM-PLUS' SPEED-UP FUNCTION FOR THAT BIGASS LIFT.
Hardcore oldschool maps with a manly soundtrack. On Map17 there is a "split" moment where you need two players to progress, the rest is playable in SP too. Awesome.
Pretty cool. White\/silver design reminiscent of Icarus, interesting progression with some clever confusing bits and the new midi is magnificent. Shame about too much plasma though, it makes things rather easy.
