From the text file: "New level from scratch (it didn't itch though)"... It seems almost every old wad's text file has a joke, weird story or other strange anticdotes in them somewhere.
BFG and plasma are "not suitable for deathmatch" eh? Sounds like someone needs more practice ;) This thing runs in Doom95, but crashes Zandronum - WTF? Either way, looks like a fun map for 4 or more players. Visuals aren't bad at all for 95, though the texturing is somewhat basic.
This was made in 1996 - It's HUGE, it's bland, it's covered in startan. Still, not the worst I've seen, because it isn't overly complex and a DM could be "okay ish" here.
Surprisingly the map isn't that bad, by 1994 standards. I first played this in dmd2die.wad, where it's map30. Unlike most DM maps from this era, you might actually find the other opponent, which is a plus.
These maps are pretty good. Same areas are a bit too cramped, which is my main fuss, and there's the -occasional- dead end, but it always leads to a BFG or something, so it's used strategically from a mapper's perspective. They may seem "Meh" to another use, but to me, I see good WAD craftsmanship. 4/5
This is a pretty good oldschoolish map, despite needing ZDoom. The only thing I would chnage would be so that players can pass through the slimefalls. That's Doomkid's opinion on Doomboy's map.
