I'm sorry to hear that. But it would be a mistake to generalise from your one case to the conclusion that therapy is a scam and a waste of time for everyone. Likewise, it would be a mistake to generalise from a successful experience to the conclusion that it's great and will work for everyone. You need to take a broader view if you want to determine the effectiveness of any form of therapy. There's a large scientific community that's geared towards doing just this.

There are many, many, forms of therapy, and many of them do not obviously fit the crude generalisations that you've sketched here. I'm not interested in having a discussion, but I encourage anyone who thinks they might benefit from some form of therapy not to be dissuaded by posts like these.

- music (records mostly records, but a few CDs and cassettes) - nin promo material (favourite item: with teeth promo toothbrush) - comics, trading cards, a few action figures - fungal cultures

I mean, as a point about the relationship between lifestyle and mortality he's not wrong!

He's also dropping fast on the eccentric, letting gravity do the work, so catching a quick break on each rep.

The ability to do lots of push ups doesn't have much to do with being strong. If you want to get strong you're wasting your time grinding out push ups.

Eh, you're young, my advice is not to worry about it too much. Also, don't get too hung up on ideas about the kind of person you are and what you can or can't do - don't put yourself in a box. The older you get the better you'll understand what you have in your toolkit and how best to use it. Trust yourself. -
I don't really know anyone who fits this description - I hope I don't! - but I'm generally pretty open about being a cannabis user, primarily because it's illegal here, and it gets a lot of bad press in our mostly very conservative newspapers, so I kind of feel it incumbent on me to present an alternative to the very negative stereotype.

I've been thinking more about this recently. This year I've been experimenting with micro/mini dosing mushrooms, one of the thoughts being that if I could replace weed with small doses of mushrooms it would save me a not insignificant chunk of change, since I can easily grow them myself. But long story short I don't think it'll work. There's something distinctive that weed does for me that the mushrooms don't. As someone who's almost certainly some way down the autism spectrum, I have a tendency to get really fixated on certain things, and my thinking tends to operate on very fixed rails, that just go round and around and around, which is kind of exhausting. But weed really breaks me out of that loop, takes my thinking off the rails - in a good way! - an enables me to step back and analyse and understand what I'm doing in a way that I can't when I'm caught up in my regular thought patterns. This is very therapeutic. So yeah, micro dosing has its own benefits, but won't be replacing weed for me.

Pokemon, I was just a little too old for it when it first exploded in the West. My youngest is now starting to get into it and I'm embarrassed by my lack of knowledge. Thankfully I still have things like Mario and Kirby to fall back on, so as far as they can tell I'm still somewhat cool.

I think the nin logo is hard to beat from a design perspective (though the example used in this thread is not good - dimensions are way off). But aside from that, and the Aphex logo, I'll go with this (VSnares):

I've been a regular cannabis user for over 20 years. It's always really agreed with me. I stopped smoking it a long time ago, before my first kid was born. I typically use a herbal vape, and make edibles occasionally. I tend to use an uplifting, energising strain in the daytime, when I'm busy and getting stuff done, and something more relaxing in the evenings. I only use it Fri-Sun, so it's a few days off and a few days on every week. Again, it really agrees with me - lots of things don't (e.g., I don't drink, or use caffeine). I'm a better person for it. But it really doesn't agree with some people, and those people just shouldn't use it.

Nah, what you've done here is rectify a huge mistake (sorry). Though it looks like it could be a little neater. Once you've lived with it for a few days you'll hopefully realise what a massive life-upgrade you've gifted yourself. Just try to keep on top of it - once a week is good.

Creepy silence for me, unless it's the og maps and I'm on a nostalgia trip. I kinda feel bad for turning the music off when I know that talented composers have contributed tracks that I would probably enjoy if I listened to them in a different context, but I'm set in my ways, and find the game more immersive without music.
