Fourth episode is, again, much better than earlyer episodes,
and this time it can be clearly noted. While the sound
problem is still in PC version, the level strucutres have
got much better. There's still not much stairs and elevators,
but rooms are much more detailed now. I mean that there's
lot's of tables, windows, shadows and stuff like that...
One thing I'm very glad of is that there are no more "too dark"
halls where you can't see anything!
Ok, if you have read the other WolfenDooM reviews, then this might
sound a bit repeating, but here's a quick summary for those who
haven't read my earlyer WolfenDooM reviews:
- Monsters are taken directly from WolfenDooM. They are now stronger
but they give you less damage.
- All the bugs have removed and you have better controls since you are
actually playing a DooM 2 Total Conversion.
- There are ambience sounds, like waterfall sounds, that make the game
a lot better.
- Graphics are based on Wolfenstein and DooM graphics so you should get
on the right "Wolfenstein mood" with them :)
- Sounds are mainly taken from Wolfenstein, but some of them are screwed
up (at least on PC version).
I'm very sorry, but there's really not more to say...
Final comments
Very much better game than earlyer WolfenDooM episodes. Much
more detailed.
