I'm not exactly sure what this is supposed to be...two strange MBF21 (-complevel 21) maps with unusual progression? A WAD full of cryptic messages hinting at the future or a bigger project? An attempt at trying to push out Doom content more regularly? Or all of the above? All I know is that I am indeed putting together some sort of story behind this.

I think I might have played the old one, I'm afraid...

 

I can immediately recognize this was made by you. Good thing you always keep your style across all maps. I like the Sunlust-ish encounters and scenery you always bring - I must admit sometimes it feels I go Super Saiyan and end up not dying when I think I'm certainly going to. Anyway here's a blind playthru.
