  4. Coadjutor to the Stars.

A single-player/cooperative map. Mainly, a space- base theme with a quarry and some nukage to even it out. Something I made in my spare time with no real intent on winning the "Best Level of the Year" award. Though, I just wanted something fun to play! Play this one several times, there are many secrets to find! I sometimes don't even find them all when I play, and I made it!

  8. aloha_oe

It begins with a step into blood… and 3 ancient demons, watching and waiting... waiting for a taste of your blood. They could take you by force and beat you and break you and drain you dry. And they may. But the blood, they know, is much sweeter, more powerful, if given freely. And so the game begins. Survival. Not just of your body. But of your mind. But that’s what you do, right? You survive. And you kill. You kill. And you survive. Once again you find yourself in a DoomWorld nightmare. So you strap up, man up, and lock and load. Remember… there is no dishonor in death. Only in defeat.

  12. The Black Widow

This is mostly a 1-player level, but it`s also a nice DM and co-level. You start with a not so power- ful weapon and you have to fight your way through a few guys before you get even a shotgun. But don`t let this scare you. It`s not so far away... The level itself isn`t that big, but it`s way enough action all the way. Most of you experienced DOOM- player-guys will take it down after a few tries. I didn`t want it to be impossible getting to the exit, but those who haven`t played DOOM that much, will have quite fun, finding secret doors, heavy weapons and all that stuff. I`m not saying that the masters will find this level boring, so don`t turn around, you people!! I think the whole World of DOOM will find this level exciting. I`m thinking about making an episode, so if you like this level, send me a postcard to cheer me up. Finally, here`s my advice: ALWAYS LOOK BEHIND YOU! (And in front of you, because I`ve included some hot pictures of nude teenagers...)

  13. Within the Bowels of Hell

You seem to draw the most dangerous missions. Fellow Marines appear to be disappearing at an alarming rate. Most have been tracked to a suspected underground complex inhabited by the undead. Eliminating this fortress of evil won't be easy, and it is for this reason that you have been selected. You enter the complex and stumble upon the first echelon of nasties. "Is this the best you can do?" you say to yourself. Keep focused, the action becomes more frantic as you move deeper into their lair. Other hazards exist as well.

This wad is moderately large, and very playable at all difficulty levels. There are no "dead-ends"or unescapable traps. All weapons, keys and items have been used. Adequate ammo for skill levels 3/4/5, more than enough for levels 1/2.

  15. The Clinic

"The Clinic" is so named because parts of it are modeled after a real medical clinic. This map is incredibly large and is quite difficult. You'll begin outside of the clinic and must find all three keys before exiting. Unfortunately, the monsters at the reception desks will be less than helpful. Not only will you be treated to almost every type of enemy, but you'll see many interesting sights along your way. You'll see demonic artwork, a fountain of blood, computer diagnostic centers, and tons of secret items that taunt you. This clinic is very different from the medical clinic it was designed from!

  19. Burzums survival wad

I started mapping because I play Doom since 95 and still love this epic game. As we (the Doomdaddys) have already played mostly every common wad like av, sunder, Hr1+2, Dv1+2 etc and didnt find too many cool new maps during the last months..I decided to start my own megawad. These are the first two level.

  20. Cesspool

Cesspool is a map with all new textures and music. The difficulty is scaled according to my observations of forum members' attitude towards difficulty settings. The three generic difficulty settings range from average difficulty, hell revealed level of difficulty and extremely difficult but not impossible. I recommend you beat the map at least once before trying it on Ultra Violence.

This is version 1.1 of Cesspool. A few small changes have been made to balance the difficulty of the map, all for the Ultra Violence difficulty setting.

    * All spectres replaced with demons * Berserk pack at player start * The red skull room trenches have been replaced with damaging floors to prevent the player from camping there

Additionally, the glitchy sounds have been removed.

  23. Nuestro amigo Ciberio / Cybie, Our Friend

Abstract techbase map with a space sky and a cyberdemon. Designed for the original Doom, and respecting the origi- nal limits -Visplane Overflows, etc-; I know, there is no point in this today, but it was a fun challenge trying to build a pretty scenery while avoiding those limits. I've spent a lot of time refining the gameplay. I Hope it pays and you find the map enjoyable and interesting. Features: * Non-linear. * Two different ways to kill the cyberdemon. * Singleplayer, cooperative and deathmatch. * A 1024x128 space sky with stars and planets. * An exit, and no illusio-pit (sorry!).

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
