  1. DTCA - Map 01 - Lobby (Old)

Just to warn you ahead of time, this is my first ever map. I'm only uploading it to Doomworld for people to use it for comparing it, to its new version I finished recently. This map is not a work of art, it is a disaster

  5. Desert Horror

My biggest level at this moment, near 500k of blood and pain... And designed for the Doom2.exe, so isn't necessary the use of Source-Ports; hmm, well, at any rate, better if you do it. There's a lot of cannon fodder (imps, zombiemans); this means funny action with the chaingun.

  6. Fire Storm

Prepare to enter the Firestorm. Select your weapons combination and enter the grim deathmatch arena. Slug it out with your competitors and a furious horde of enemies while trying to gain access to hidden caches of weapons and power ups.

Network play requires cooperation between two players to end level. Level was designed to be played as a deathmatch with respawing on, providing maximum level playability and carnage :) If you play solo, do it in nightmare mode.

  7. Dis 2000

This map was originally built for Hell Revealed 2. Since the project was going nowhere and Chroz told me that it was abandoned, I decided to release this map. I've added more ammo and health since the original one was intended to be played with ammo from previous levels. I've tried to make players find the weapons to get past some situations (I.e.: looking for plasmagun to kill the 1st spider mastermind and get red key), you'll need to find them all (except BFG) and use them wisely for each situation. It was built for vanilla DooM2, so don't expect insane detail. If you find the level incomplete, you are right, it needs an additional make-up, but I don't feel like it, DCK won't work at all in my current comp. so it would take ages for me with another level editor.

  8. E1style

This is probably best described as a cross between e1 style and Doom2 midgame levels. Tight on ammo, heavy on enemies, fast gameplay.

  9. DARK FATE

"Dark Fate" is a fast paced single player level for Doom II, inspired by the style of the original Doom's third episode, "Inferno". This map was made quite fast, in probably about 15-20 hours.

It is a small map and will take you only a short while to play. Once you're done with that you might also want to try playing it in deathmatch mode!

You find yourself in a spaceport that has been taken over by hellspawn. From there, your adventures take you to the basement, a Nazi fortress, a lava cave, a castle, and the dungeon of the castle. More details in spcprt.txt and cstlgstn.txt.

  13. In Death's Embrace

"Feeding angels with despair flameout's reigning everywhere And you need it so, you just can't let it go away" - "The Flameout", Soilwork

Since the Cave Imp campaign ended with the Nightwing miniepisode (even though a sequel was planned) I don't have any story to bother you with. It isn't worth writing anyway, since I assume that people that download doom files aren't interested in reading the text file that accompanies the WAD.

This is a tried-and-true industrial-style map much like my previous maps, perhaps a little more detailed sometimes. Out of more or less pure luck I managed to create some really great scenes. Much of that which went good was actually mistakes, a phenomenon you also can notice much in the history of sience. Even though this map is very linear in nature I think it is pretty immersive, and I hope you won't notice that I am using the same tricks and texture combinations that I have for several years now ;)

  14. DoomsDay'95 One Player

This is the unshortened version of DoomsDay.wad. It's not a deathmatch level but a normal one player/cooperative one. This level is approximately two and a half times bigger than DoomsDay.wad. This is a small level full of monsters. It's not like my previous levels, in this one you'll be submerged by monsters; you will not get any break and your guns are going to become overheated. You won't loose a lot of time searching the monsters... No BFG9000, no plasma gun

Believe it or not I started this map in 1996, but messed it up. I started it again in 2000, but got half way through and my backup disk went bad. So I finially finished it, over 6 years in the making! My next level (if completed) will be better than this and work will start soon.

  20. Die1RV.zip

No long story, this is just a little bit of improvement over the original WAD that was released in 1997. The original map got some okay reviews but it had major problems. Texture alignments were non-existent, no skill levels were implemented. The list goes on and on, it used to have a little deathmatch arena but it really sucked. I did not attempt to completely refurbish the map, I just wanted to correct the glaring errors. I wanted the map to maintain it's originality as it was from 1997. I just worked on texture alignments, skill levels and a few architectural improvements. If I missed something then I apologize. I hope you have fun playing it again! Thanks everyone! It doesn't need a source port but it looks much better with higher resolutions such as PrBoom.

  21. N.D.R. 3

A fairly small, medium difficulty level for DOOM II. A brown brick and metal theme, not requiring a source port, although there's a MAPINFO lump in there providing some purely cosmetic enhancements when using ZDoom (change of music, name in map, etc.)

This is actually the first "proper" DOOM II map I've made. Gee, only took me 8 years since the game's release. Hopefully it's better than the usual "my first level" crap.

Oh yeah, if you're using a port that allows jumping, don't. There are some bits you might be able to cheat on if you do.

  22. The DIG

This is a nice blast-away level with some good design elements and great areas. Be especially careful in the central island, it has some nice almost-270 degrees crossfire. Move around quick and don't stay in one place! A rather simple system of teleporters can get nasty and pretty surprising if you'll let some of those monsters on them.

This level was inspired by a LucasArts game called 'The DIG'. As far as I remember, it has five small islands around a big one and at certain points in the game you had to acheive certain things in order to send a ray of light (? not sure) from each island to the big center island.

  25. The Flood Gates

This is my first release. There is nothing fancy or exception about this map, I just made it to fit the original story line. The map is very large but not puzzling as a matter of fact it is almost straight foward but interesting. The real challenge is to play it on UV. Don't worry its not unbeatable. The secrets in it are not hard to find either. All in all I built this level for the purpose of it being a fast-pace action oriented map with lots of monsters. Try it.

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
