Pure deathmatch design. Well balanced placement of weapons and ammo. This level offers a real challenge to experienced deathmatch players. The more advanced weapons require some risk to obtain. Zip file includes a one player demo that shows where all secrets and items are located.

DOOM ][ DEATHMATCH WAD This my first wad, it's really your basic deathmatch wad. There are couple of open arena's to battle out in. Has a darkened pit for those who like that. There are a few surprises in this wad which is very easy to figure, with an exception that this wad has an Exit. Have fun!!!!!!!!!!

  9. Bastard! 1.1 for DOOM ][ Deathmatch

Bastard! is exactly what you will be calling me after playing this level. The most secrets, tricks, and traps that could be crammed into a little this big. And a Mancubus to boot. Watch your back. I mean it. This is a minor revision of bastard.wad

  10. The Courtyard "COURT.WAD" for DOOM ][

The Courtyard is designed for multiplayer Deathmatch! There is no monsters to interupt you from crushing your opponent(s). There are a lot of places to shoot from and some one-way walls to hide behind. All the weapons (minus the shotgun, but who needs it when you have the Super-shotgun!) but the BFG & Rocket Launcher aren't to easy to get, that is with-out leaving yourself open to the other players!

  11. BFG SPAZ (DOOM II Deathmatch PWAD)

I hate the BFG. No skill involved with it. Some players like the mass destruction it causes, so I created this level with those players in mind, and it's actually quite fun. This level was designed to be small, fast and furious. Non-stop fraggin action, even with 2 players.

  12. COOLWAD1

Five of the most brutal deathmatch levels in existence. You'll spend hours and hundreds of frags on each one. Here's a hint of what's to come.

Map 01: "TINY" This first one is pretty much straightforward kill the other guy. Lots of dark corners, but beware the man with the light amps. He'll see you jacking off in the corner.

Map 02: "BFG" Lots of running in this one. Cyber-demon (aka Gordo) makes things interesting. Again the light amps are useful. There's a monumental secret area but no one can get there. TS.

Map 03: "GRIDIRON" This one will keep you going for hours trying to get one more kill before you quit. No secrets (except the exit). Don't stand on the green.

Map 04: "BALROG" aka Bridge of Death. Use secret elevators to get better weapons and primo attack spots. maybe.

Map 05: "MALL" Just a regular day at a Houston mall. Kill or be killed. Remember to stop by Sears to buy a BFG and other assorted hardware. Duke it out with your buddy in the food court.

  13. BIOHAZRD, an excellent Doom ][ Deathmatch Level

A lot of intersecting hallways that all lead to a large central room with a pit. This is a Deathmatch level. No monsters, traps or anything else that would steal a frag from another player. Also has one exit (not hidden) so that you can see the frag stats.

  14. clerdang.wad (Clear Danger)

This level is DEATHMATCH oriented with lots of weapons and health. Perfect size for non-stop fragging action! I have added a deliberate and obvious exit to this level to prevent any arguing over who had how many frags. The exit is clearly marked, so don't exit unless everyone is ready!

  15. BludSport

Primarily a Deathmatch level, but single player and cooperative games are supported. Imagine each player (in Deathmatch) is dropped into a WORLD of pain before turning on each other. If you and your buddies want to run around an underground, multi-leveled assylum, plug it in and face your fears!

  17. CLAWSON7 (CLAWSON7.WAD, CLAWSON7.ZIP)

Plot? Who needs a plot? Ummm, you're dropped in the crater of a dead volcano and someone just happened to leave weapons and shit all over the place. Maybe you're in some futuristic combat training facility. Perhaps a religious cult was living in a secluded mountain and built all of this but then suddenly decided to mass suicide. Who cares?

  18. BORIS's Death Chasm for DOOM II!

This is my first all out wad. I only put one level in it because this is all I have completed as yet. Basicly it's a big tube with adjoining rooms. You have to find all the keys to get into the Art Museum which contains many of Boris Valleho's works of art. Then you can exit. P.S. Sorry I used so many of the Hitchhikers emblems. I think it's cool :>

  20. the cage of destiny v1.0

Well, check it out yourself. As you'll notice, there is a cage in this level. That means you can capture your opponent when he is trying to get the plasma riffle by pressing one of 4 buttons on the opposite side. There is still a way out when being captured, but you can be targeted easily..... If you want to hunt down your opponent, well, do it. Escaping meat on the outer way is inticated by an arrow. (you can't escape your destiny!) On skill level 1+2, there is a chainsaw in the middle of the level. On every other skill setting, this chainsaw is replaced by a rocket launcher (some don't like rocket launchers in deathmatch levels, don't know why..), but the chainsaw is placed on an other location. NO BFG 9000 in this level!

our favorite deathmatch wad yet (out of all that we've come accross). It was originally made from Doom's E1M1 and then converted to work with Doom ][. This level has many surprises and it's really easy to ambush and backtrack on your opponent! :)

My apartment, just like the title says! (DOOM ][) This is my first attempt at making a PWAD, so be kind. BTW, my apartment is in Tampa, FL, near the Univ. of South Florida, where I am a Mech. Engineering Grad. Student. I started with the intent of making a DM only level, but put some monstas and an exit in for the hell of it.

  24. BRIANS.WAD

DOOM ][ DEATHMATCH WAD After playing many, many, good Deathmatch PWADS, I decided to build a killer DeathMatch wad. It has a couple of nice, open 'arenas' to battle in, some strategically placed darkness, and NO shortage of weapons or ammo. There is also a couple of ways to double back on your buddy. I hope you like it as much as we do.

  25. Corridors -O- Death

A 4 player Deathmatch for Doom II, works fairly well for 2 players also. Basically this WAD is a square with four corridors connecting it to a larger square corridor. There are four rooms containing the weapons. All weapons are present in this WAD. The BFG is semi-hidden, though once you find it it is no problem to get. The main square is a pool of life stealing blood, with a column in the center that has a megasphere on it. The sphere will be hard to get unscathed in a 4 player match, as the apron around the blood pool is dark, and can easily be covered from a distance or upclose. The line defs that trigger the column to come down are too close to allow a turbo-ing player to whiz by without a shot being fired at him.

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
