I couldn't seem to get the demo working for the release, so here it is afterwords. This was my 5th time tring to get it the demo to playback correctly, and the time it worked, I only got 99% kills and 98% items, oh well.

  3. House of DOOM!

You just done taking a dump when you come out of the bathroom and (not again) monsters, everywhere! This a complete "blue print" of my house. First I was only going to have the ground floor. Then I added an outside which is realy cool because projectiles are always hitting you from outside. Then I added an upstairs and then a downstairs. This level is great for deathmatch again because of the windows. THIS IS *THE* HOUSE WAD, YOU WILL NOT FIND A BETTER ONE, ANYWHERE.

  5. HARBOR2.WAD

From the seaport, where UAC goods are delivered, you will find your way to an ancient castle, which is very realistic both from outside and from inside. This WAD is a remake of an earlier version called HARBOR, which was a little too easy to play. There is more challenge in the hurt-me-plenty level, and completing the game in ultra-violence mode now really is a tough task.

  6. Galaxia.wad

Single level with lots of new graphics. This is a 4th level in the Pleiades series. (you may wish to download the previous levels; Pleiades, Mir, and Starcity, all of which can be found at the same sites as this level Note: Pleiades, Mir, Starcity, and this level are not intercompatible for combination into a single multilevel PWAD nor for play under the same loading of Doom2. They have different sky and wall textures assigned to the same names.) Finally, this level is a standard patch wad that does not alter the main Doom wad and is playable with the standard -file parameter.

  7. TEMPLE OF HATE

You are teleported into one of the main temples of the invaders. Here they practice black rites and the reanimation of sacrificed humans and their own kind. I've tried to convey the sense that you are desecrating the hallowed ground of these creatures by being there and they won't allow this without a fight. In your quest for the three skull keys you will pass through courtyards inner chapels and altar chambers, the "sewage" tunnels and ,briefly, HELL itself!

  10. The Homefront (1st release)

This level is a redisign of one of my old houses, plus a few added caves. Its a small level and is extremely simple play for the purpose of the story line. The only enemies in this level are imps and you might not even encounter them. This level is quit good for Deathmatch play. Its in a wide open area and it's small. Whenever you start you will find yourself picking up a Double Barrel shotgun. (in my opinion the best DM weapon)

  11. Halls of Doom Levels

A seven level mini-episode for Doom2. Although the layout was designed with solo play in mind, co-op and deathmatch play are fully supported, including availability of weapons and goodies, placement of start positions, and number of monsters for multi player games. For details of each level, see the chart at the end of this file. If you don't want a level preview, skip it.

  14. Halloween Doom v1.0

Just your average Halloween, right? When those little kids come to your door to get some artery-clogging candy, you hand them some, unknowingly opening the gate to hell. The portals that you sealed off on Phobos and Deimos weren't the only ones. There was a portal on Earth. The demons don't just attack and kill, they want to hunt. SO, instead of going as themselves, they've turned into odrinary Holloween objects, striking when you least expect it. The problem is, you've got one on your front porch. To rid the world of these horrors, you must first close the portal, and then destroy what remains of the demons. WHen you sit back and watch the news, you get the call from Captain Shell. He tells you about the plot, and you go to grab your artillery. But as soon as you grab your pistol, your greeted by...well, I won't spoil it for you. Play and see!

Lets Just say that the game play is grueling. You begin in the "SLAUGHTERHOUSE" or as the monsters would call it - Home. With many long agonizing minutes of wandering about in dimmly lit corridors and rooms blasting away dozens of demons splattering their guts against the wall, you begin to wonder if the bastards will ever stop coming at you. Can you stomach the idea; dead corpses, hanging and on the ground; blood everywhere?.. Think on it. Oh yeh! One savage beast after another. Oh!! finally the end. Wait.. Hell Knights surround you. It looks like the end..... for you that is If you survive the odds and escape the overly infested house of the dead from hell beware of whats to come. You'll perish for sure. Try your luck at navigating through a maze of white walls and tricky switches while you battle yet another infestation of demons. The automap is usesless and if you're a man you won't cheat!!! Survive if you can.. You may be lost in the maze for an infinity!!! Ha Ha Ha

    Oh, and enjoy.

  19. STAR TREK: HOLODECK.WAD

Map 01 : This was my first map for Doom2, a twentieth-century street scene. It has been updated since its original version with the new graphics that I made for this wad.

Map 02 : A homemade map of the starship Enterprise. The layout of the hallways was not meant to be accurate; but certain rooms (ie: the bridge, ready room, observation lounge, transporter rooms, and ten forward) were based on set designs from Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Map 03 & 04 : Most of these two are homemade; the western towns in the middle of each map, however, were based on the first two maps from Boothill.wad by Tim Ash. (Just think of the wild west as a holodeck program within the Star Trek theme.)

Map 05 : For this one I changed about 80% of the map from startrek.wad, and then pasted the whole thing onto itself to form two new starships: one whole and one damaged.

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
