  1. Entombed

Another one my maps that focus on a limited armory, this time you get nothing but a Rocket Launcher and a BFG, with the latter having only a few recharges scattered across the map and the former being still fairly limited. Grab three keys, drop the gate, and get out. There's an optional arena to the east that'll load you up with rockets, but it'll hardly be a pleasant experience with the lack of health.

    Can you survive being entombed?

A doom2 remake wad a few friends and i made. Each map is made from scratch and is extended with beefed up detail. We ended up canceling the project because people didnt seem to support it all that much. We spent a long time on the maps and didnt want to finish all 30 maps if noone liked the first 11. But I hope some people will enjoy this wad.

  16. Fight On!: Fury Rising

Backstory-Don't let nothing get in the way of achiving victory...not even that archvile that has chased you down into an infested remote base. Gather your wits marine, you have a long fight ahead of you! ---------------------------------- Info-Fury Rising is actually part of my Fight On! 7 level project and it also happens to be my first publicly relased wad ever! I am releasing it as a playable demo to generate a little more buzz on my project. It may be while for that final release, so in the meantime, please enjoy Fury Rising. Any questions or concerns can be addressed either on my doomworld thread or email. --------------------------------- Style-Style wise, i'm not sure what Fury Rising resembles. At first I was going for that classic, simplistic look and feel. Now, its something else entirly. If I had to pin it down, I would have to say its part slaughter map, part horror survival. As you play through the level, you'll notice some parts of it are off limits. That is because fury rising is also part of another level. Also, I neglected to put in any secrets. I already stuffed in enough goodies to make up for that though. ------------------------------------- Thanks for reading, and doom on fellow doomers!

  19. Alone on Deerspeed Base

This map was originally built for Doomworlds speedmapping contest, base theme. A WadAuthor error 70 minutes into the contest deleted the map. Since I was pretty happy with how the map had progressed to that point, I rebuilt the map from memory, plus added a lot more. However, I never submitted the map to Doomworld for the contest since I was way to late. The map, I believe, still rates as being considered small. Depending on your style of play and skill, it should take you about 10 to 20 minutes to finish.

My aim was to have the finished map have a clean uncluttered look and feel to it. I tried to work in enough detail to make the overall appearance look interesting. I'm not entirely happy with the flow of combat in some areas, but it's close enough, as I was making myself crazy constantly tinkering with the map. I hope you enjoy.

Map hints at bottom of page :)

  23. Fear of the Dark/Blood of the Earth

Two-pack of separate WADs entitled "Fear of the Dark" and "Blood of the Earth" respectively. These are the first two maps I've ever created - they may be included in a SomethingAwful community megawad in the future but I'm releasing them as stand-alones for people to check out. Both levels can be played and completed from a pistol start (as I would recommend to get the intended effect). Neither is particularly long and shouldn't be overly difficult for an experienced Doomer, though ammo and health are fairly tightly judged, so bear that in mind.

As the name suggests it's something familiar. I guess you'll find out soon enough. Be careful, there are lots of monsters and it's huge map with 2007 things.. 666 monsters and some lost souls! And as it's a long level, you may want to use IDMUS** cheat/command when the current song starts to bore you... It may take some hour or more to complete...

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
