Fight your way into the base then find the red key to leave. The harder the skill setting the more of the level can be accessed. If 'Eye In Symbol' things block your path then you can't access that part of the level on the current skill setting. The number of keys to be found also increases with the skill setting. This level cannot be 'practised' on an easy skill setting. Why 'The Teeth'? - Enter the blue key door (Hard skill setting only) and you'll find out

  4. DOOM: The Savage Sewers (legalized)

After what seemed to be a life long struggle you have finally won. Hell's minions have been stopped. The invasion is no longer. You lay back to rest and dream of the medals and great rewards you will receive for having saved humanity. Then all of a sudden... "SSSS AAAGGGHHH!!!" A sound all too familiar echos from a drainage pipe leading to the sewers.

"No! It CAN'T be. They're all DEAD!"

"But what else could it be? The LIZARD??? DAMN! Where's Spiderman when you need him."

Then suddenly, jumping out of a sewer drain, drenched in *slime* and *shit* came the one thing you wished had never been. The snorting, *blood* thirsty Demon from Hell jumped you faster than Oprah on a chicken-pot-pie. You wrestle the slime covered Imp to the ground drawing your pistol from your pants. Screaming in pain it's silenced as you drive five bullets into it's forehead. The confrontation is over as quick as it started.

Your worst fears fears have come true...

*The Minions of HELL Still Remain a Threat!*

The titles of the levels: - The Sewer Entrance - Short & Sour - Underground Refinery - Toxic Waste Dump - No Way Out... - Sewage Treatment Plant Pt. 1 - Sewage Treatment Plant Pt. 2 - Hangar 18 [removed by the uploader] - Tough Crowd (Bonus Level - I love it!)

  6. T_E2M1.WAD

A good sized level in a type of waste plant. Uses mainly the STARG-texture set. Contains some good architecture and lots of enemies. Note: This level has nothing to do with the original E2M1, I'm just not very creative in naming my levels...

  7. SHEPHERD.WAD

This is my first PWAD and while not the most flashy, it is solid. As far as I know it has none of the STUPID door and texture mismatches that make me want to scream and flame the author. Also, I kept it under a 100K and didn't include any CyberDemons or Spiders.

  11. The True Test

You are heading down the secret hallway leading to the teleporter back to Earth. As you make your way to well-earned freedom, you wonder why it seemed so easy to waste the mighty Spiderdemon? Just then, a ghostly apparition appears in the corridor ahead. It is one of your fallen comrades! He speaks to you in a ghostly whisper, but you sense a joy in his haunting voice. He thanks you for rescuing his soul from that monstrous devil. He begins to tell you of his last mission... It seems that of the few space marines who made it to the inferno of Hell, only he had a soul too pure to be corrupted by the teleporter gates. He fought valiantly, but was soon captured-not killed! The hideous Spiderdemon saw a power in that soul he could use for his own. In an unholy ceremony, the Spiderdemon split the marine into two parts--a body and a soul! With the soul in his control, the Spiderdemon would gain even greater power and would be indestructable to any mortal! But, there was one more part to complete the ceremony. The only way for the Spiderdemon to truly possess the soul was to prove that the body was not worthy of it. A test for the human would be the last step of the arcane ritual. The Spiderdemon sent him back to Phobos to a special arena built just for the occasion. If he could fight his way to retrieve his soul, he would be worthy of it. If he failed, the Spiderdemon would become invincible and he would suffer an eternity of torment. If he succeeded, he would be returned to Earth. In the end, he was victorious, but the Spiderdemon broke the rules of the ritual and laid a final trap for him. He was killed and his body taken back to Hell as a trophy. His soul was also brought back and it watched as the Spiderdemon's ritual backfired on him. The monster received a great blast of energy in punishment for his blasphemous actions! The demon was weakened, but very much alive. He unleashed his fury on the only thing he could, the soul of the poor marine! Even though he could never use its power, he was determined to torture the man who cheated him out of immortality. It wasn't until you destroyed the weakened Spiderdemon that he was set free. The spirit turns and begins to float away, but you call out for him to wait. You ask him to tell you more of this final mission. As you look into the misty face, you see a comrade who used to swap tales of adventure with you often. You ask him for 1 last war story. He smiles and begins to tell, in detail, of his most heroic mission. This is that tale.....

  14. SCHOOL-DOOM! v3.011/blue [legalized upload]

THE school is a hell. Everyone knows it. But for you, things are just getting worse... Nobody really understands why you spend your time by the computer... Nobody understands you at all... Nobody even wants to understand you... You are being looked down... You are being mocked... You have no place in their society... You hate them, their selfishness and all... and you wish you'd have the courage to say it aloud. In your school card there is a mentioning "ASOCIAL." You are really feeling down... depressed... You think about committing suicide, but then you realize it's not what you want to do. You should make the others suffer rather than yourself! That is the real point. Next day, you go to school as usual... As you open the door, many voices with nothing to say strike your ears. That is quite what you expected. Then you see HER. The one you were once interested in, the only one of those fools you wanted to be kind to, and who told all the school of your desperate actions. She just smiles at you with overlook. Then she says: "Hello, Dirty One! How are the fleas today? Why are you gasping? There should be a law against freaks like you that prohibits stinking at school." You hit her. You hit her again, again, again, again, again... Satisfaction... OOPS! You've really made a mistake now. Not considering her miserable life worth anything, but YOUR life... They'll never forgive you THIS... They'll surely get you, they surely will. The punishment will be terrible... But one thing is sure... They'll never get you alive! You will fight! You will kill them all! You will burn the schoolbuilding out of the map as if it never has existed... Who cares if you are right or wrong! It's your destiny... it's your hell... it's your SCHOOL-DOOM!

  16. The Cage

A conglomeration of things learnt using DEU and DCK. This has been a lesson in learning. From getting DCK not to add in the infernal lower sidedefs when I didn't want them, to getting the guy out during testing. This is not easy!. It requires quick movements, but the tricks are all fairly easy. It was really a test to see if I could get some nice looking arenas planned. Still, there is no fancy story, and no background. You've just been transported into The Cage. Get out, get the keys, and fight through the tunnel to get to the next level.

  17. The Evergreen State College's campus

Here it is! The first compleate wad based on The Evergreen State College's campus. It's twice the size of the original release and a lot more detailed. It also has fully implemented difficulty levels and network play capabilities. I know a lot of the texture, especially doors, are not quite right but I don't really feel like spending the several hours it would take to tweak them around. This level is made for e2l1 and is based on our library building. In case you are familure with the campus the level is meant to travel from the first floor to the basement and then up to the second floor. Any comments or suggestions would be greatly apreciated. I ran this through bsp so none of the bugs in the first release should be in there now. Thanks to all the people who e-mailed me on how to fix this, and once again thanks to the creators of deu and bsp. This is my first compleate wad and I would really like some feedback. I can be reached at newmanb@elwha.evergree.edu. Thanks for playing tesc_2.wad and happy dooming!

  18. 11th Hour Stauf Wad

A reproduction of the Stauf mansion from The 11th Hour: The Sequel To The 7th Guest. PLAY DEATHMATCH WITH MONSTERS. STAUF.WAD is for DOOM, STAUF2.WAD is for DOOM2, STAUFH.WAD is for HERETIC. Very simple. An example command line for DOOM is C:\DOOM>DOOM -FILE STAUF.WAD The same would apply for the rest of the WADs. I tried to keep the WADS as easy to play as possible. You will find tons of ambush points and secrets. I got a little carried away with the HERETIC WAD, there are a few more secret areas. Hope you enjoy the Wads, I Had fun making them.

  19. STAR-B-Q.WAD

You're invited to a cookout. But this ain't no picnic! Prepare to fry some demonic butt as you claw your way out of the Star Chamber to find out what lies beyond. But keep an eye on your back, or you may be next on the spit!

This is one of those infamous "first WAD" attempts. As such it includes the usual hodge- podge of every idea the author ever thought of regarding a DOOM level. Yes, most anything regarding theme and consistency has been tossed carelessly over the edge of the abyss, with a spicy mixture of nifty puzzles, neat gizmos and cool structures proudly taking their place. It ain't French cookin', but it oughta satisfy a hungry Doomer for a meal or two. Watch for the baron's BBQ...and there's some fairly amazing graphic textures at the end...if you can make it that far. <8-)

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
