Emmanuelexe Posted November 6, 2019 People said we get the 2nd of the Cleric late (4 or 5 maps) so the best could be to play with Fighter or Mage, could you add his 2nd weapon earlier maybe? I will test it soon, with the Mage or Cleric. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
seed Posted November 11, 2019 Pretty nice wad, I'm currently going through this as a Mage. It didn't seem particularly interesting at first, but seems to be getting better and better, which is nice. Let's play in spoiler if interested (Teitanblood song playing in the beginning). Spoiler 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
Tango Posted November 11, 2019 whoa, those platforming sections in the copper + lava level look pretty rad, especially the part with the walls pushing you off platforms 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

Gothic Posted November 12, 2019 I've been slacking off on this project, but hopefully a full release will be ready on this weekend. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
seed Posted November 12, 2019 (edited) Finished the last hub today. So, I stand by what I said: It's a bit underwhelming at first glance in the first hub, but only gets better and better afterwards. Korax's second form was interesting, didn't see that coming. Finale in spoiler. Spoiler Edited November 12, 2019 by seed 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Gothic Posted November 24, 2019 (edited) The first release candidate is now ready to go. Here is the changelog: Spoiler General: Difficulty settings added. TITLEPIC, CREDIT and ENDPIC are now on higher resolution. The Steel Guardian is now vulnerable to radius damage, has more health and the NOICEDEATH flag. The Piranha has less health, better underwater behavior and an extreme death sequence. Added GLDEFS for the Baby Wyvern, Steel Guardian and Korax' special attacks. The final boss has more health and can cast Korax' special attacks. Lava deals damage faster. All Wyvern's route spots are at the center of their areas, and are reduced in number so they don't get stuck on walls. Hopefully better enemy placements for all classes. To make things easier for Cleric players, they will not encounter Slaughtaurs or Stalker Bosses on the first hub. Better ammo balance on the second hub, so it isn't just given away like nothing. Don't waste ammo needlessly. Clerics will still get more Mana so they don't have to switch to the mace. Map specifics: HUB1: Small visual change: now the torches look like actual torches. H1MAP1: Added a couple of Discs of Repulsion. H1MAP2: Added more Flechettes for the Fighter and Mage. H1MAP3: A rock path was added underwater to guide players when a specific valve is activated. Some discs of repulsion were removed, as they don't serve much of a purpose there. The Centaurs inside the ruined fortress can move freely after you enter. H1MAP4: The Flame Masks are placed on solid platforms, and not placed on the lava, so they are more visible and you don't take damage trying to get them. Added more Flechettes for the Fighter and Mage. BOSS1: An extra sector was added after the Wyvern is defeated, so the weapon piece is harder to miss. HUB2: The torches now point directly to the map you got their respective gem. H2MAP1: A wooden fence was added around the town. H2MAP2: The Stalkers on the bridge pond got removed, as they don't serve any purpose. A Brazier was added on the platform leading to the second Bull Switch, so it is more noticeable. H2MAP3: Small visual change: The eastern hall has ceiling windows. Fighters will not encounter Afrits on the glitter bridge area. Removed the gaps on the gate areas, so Chaos Serpents don't get stuck in them. Serpents on the eastern area don't get stacked on the hall's exit door. H2MAP5: The Quartz Flask on the lava tunnel is now on a solid platform. The Silver key is on a larger platform so it is easier to get. BOSS2: An extra sector was added after the Heresiarch is defeated, so the weapon piece is harder to miss. H3MAP1: You can go back to land if you fall into the lava pit. Small visual changes on some doors. A lava fall that was not full lit, it is now. Traps are slower if you are playing on lower difficult settings. H3MAP5: Some traps are slower on the easier difficult settings. BOSS3: You will encounter only 1 Steel Guardian on the 2 easier difficulty settings. BOSS4: Korax will only summon 1 Steel Guardian Ghost on the 3 easier difficulty settings. Small visual changes on the area previous to the boss arena. The bridge not changing textures properly is fixed now Korax' special attacks are slower on easier difficulty settings. The download link is on the main post. Matthias Posted January 3, 2020 WHOA! I absolutely love it! The maps are so minimalistic and simple, but powerful in the same time. I love how short but "right to the point" they are. Also some puzzles has really authentic retro-feeling. For example "steamworks" map has that "ice-breaker" puzzle... for some reason it totally reminded me Quake II. It has the true Hexenish adventurous gameplay! I also love how the environment is used. For example the third hub is oriented on factories, industrial zones and all these steampunk-like places. Totally the best WAD I played this year and this year just started. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
