Hi, So we're working on a little project called "The Return" and we need a few more members.

What we're doing:

30 Maps

A decent story (working on it)

IMPORTANT INFO: DOOM IN DOOM FORMAT ONLY! I WANT THIS TO BE COMPATIBLE WITH SOURCE PORTS OTHER THAN GZDOOM/ZDOOM!!(Such as Crispy Doom and Boom)

Use the Doom 2 IWAD

Use stock assests but if you have something like lab or hell textures, use them!

Don't make it slaughter mapp-y but make it challenging too!

Just a heads up that there is kinda/sorta a high profile "The Return" project. It was a failed TeamTNT project meant to be some kind of sequel to Eternal Doom, but they ended up releasing it as a graphics resource wad and simultaneously (arguably) the first open doom community project.

 

I'm not the "change your name!!" police and not suggesting you do so, plus their "The Return" was a failed project so that should void "ownership" a bit haha, but us old farts who remember it will get confused by the name (and maybe a little bit of hopes dashed, upon realizing it is not a group of people picking up the torch where TeamTNT dropped it).

Oh, shit! I didn't know about that... well, I'm definitely going to inform the project leader now. Also, what do you mean old? I mean... you aren't like 85 years old, right? I'd be 70 years younger if that were the case!

Hi again. So, I talked to the project leader and we're talking about new names... I think we're calling the WAD "Doom: Rebound", at least for now that's the decision and I'll edit the starting post when the decision is final!
