Devalaous Posted September 7, 2022 Is there a list of known maps that deliberately utilise the ghost monster bug? I know of a few of the big hitters, like Requiem, Icarus , Hell to Pay and Hell Revealed (The latter of which I discovered today via MtPain's Hell Revealed video, making me have to start the wad from scratch; fortunately I was only up to Map 8) I tend to use Doom Expanded with almost every vanilla-ish classic mapset that doesnt mess with dehacked or colour pallettes, the only downside is that ghosts do not function whatsoever with that mod, so ive previously felt gutted reaching Icarus' 'The Haunting', only to have the map not function as intended, and would prefer to avoid that in the future :p 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

Xyzzу Posted September 8, 2022 (edited) MAP06 and MAP22 of Xerxesia (originally MAP31 of the Confinement Community Project and MAP07 of DBP20, respectively) use their own custom ghost monsters, but only the latter's original map was limit-removing. galileo31dos01 Posted September 8, 2022 (edited) The somewhat recent Amorphous Euphoria has intentional undead imps in the second map. There is map 09 in Doom 2 Reloaded, which iirc the ghost enemies are an aftermath of not working out the tasks in time, but I think you can still end up with ghosts chasing you no matter what because of archvile foolery. So basically you'd probably be better playing this on a source port which doesn't enable ghost resurrections.
