Awesome stuff! Playing through this one right now in GZDoom and it works great so far with Smooth Doom Remake (Some DBP stuff doesn't haha). Great "fall" visuals, good music and the orange theme reminds me Tangerine Nightmare. I think I will probably play through it again immediately after with maybe Woof or International Doom just to switch it up and get the full "software" experience.

Finished this last night. Pretty good! It felt a lot more straightforward than some of the most recent DBPs, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Visuals were great. That color scheme looks very good. I do want to ask about map 06 tho. I feel like I'm missing something with it. I found all 3 marked secrets, but I don't know what the red skulls do. And I did IDDT to find the missing enemy I had and spotted some

Spoiler

yellow skulls on the map

that I'm not entirely sure what the point of them is or how to get to them. Given how big and empty this map is, I feel like there's more to it than meets the eye, and I don't know if that's really the case. If not, despite that, I did like that map just for being able to explore a bit.

Those are the apples ;)

There are three red apples, and four easter egg yellow apples for people who break out of bounds.  If I had more time/energy, I would've had something for them, like a forest diety at the end that collects them in exchange for stuff (and makes it more clear that they are apples).  Or maybe if you didn't collect enough apples, she turns into a giant sector wolf that sector vores you instead.  Or maybe she turns the map into a slaughter-map, etc.  I could've incorporated a poisonous blue apple too...  But yah it's basically a chill collectathon map that I made on a weekend whim.

Cider and bourbon may have been involved in the making of this map....

I made it up to map09 with v1.0. Will do rest of the maps later with most recent version. Was a blast 😁

Am I the only one who thinks the post process filter of the Siren mod looks like vomit? This map pack has nice visual flare and this mod just removes all of it.

Heh I'm trying really hard to accomodate the specific DBP flair into my map design, but I admit the edges are a bit rough still. DBP54 should provide a softer gateway into my style.

I think every mapper likes to see their map being went through for the first time, so another blind video would only do good

Alright, so this is my first post here and first "review", if you can even call it that, on any DOOM wad, soo uh I'm obviously not great at it but whatever.

First things first, I'm not a pro/veteran player by any means and I've never beat any wad on Ultra-Violence (except the base game) and I usually prefer to stay at the medium spectrum of things. That being said, I've been following DBP for about a year now and I enjoyed most of the wads from the project, despite it pushing my skill level to its limits, Plutonian Sunrise being no exception.

Although I did get worried seeing "Plutonia" in the title, I must say I've had a ton of fun playing through the wad, the pacing overall felt great and for the most part, the encounters felt fair and satisfying, even most of the traps weren't anywhere near the level of Sunlust and such.

I can't really say much about every individual map as my memory is pretty awful but I do have a couple points I'd like to point out:

Map 03 - Plutonian Reservoir - One of the best maps overall, some secrets felt a little unfair but because most of the maps had 0 secrets I feel like it justifies the difficulty of those secrets, especially since the early BFG is absolutely game changing. Also, those secrets and the amount of time spent to find them is what made me remember this map in the first place, so, a plus after all?

Map 07 - Autumn Breeze - Personal favourite, absolutely the best map, the pacing was great, stunning esthetics, encounters were super fun, and the last big fight was super satisfying, although if I didn't kill the cyberdemon before he was about to be set free it would be a little more painful. Still, I feel like I'm gonna go back to this one often, testing new mods or just replaying it for the sake of it.

Map 08 - Teleport Distraction - Just as great of a map as Autumn Breeze, until the second half which really started to feel way dragged out and the encounters felt unnecessarily mean.

Second to last map was a nice showcase of a god mode, sorry but I just can't enjoy maps that require you to *not* play Doom in order to win. It was too much for my nerves and I felt it's not worth to leave the wad with a bad taste, especially since this map is what I expected most of the wad to be like but fortunately that was not the case.

Last map, a bit too overwhelming for me as well and I ran to the exit as soon as it was accessible, but I can see this map being super fun for a bit more skilled players than me, it was simply difficult but not straight up bs like the previous map. Honestly maybe I'll come back to it just for the sake of practicing and getting a little better at slaughtery encounters.

I think that's most of the points I wanted to point out, great pacing (for the most part), absolutely glorious esthetics, as usual with DBP maps, fun encounters, except the ones that weren't, overall - another DBP wad - one of the best wads played. Please keep it up y'all.

Played this tonight, had a great time overall.  Not particularly Plutonic, but that's not a mark against it, these were comfy, enjoyable, autumnal maps.  I was particularly impressed by the nice break in Map 6 with the lovely village, and the nice high monster counts towards the end.

Ok so EDGE Classic does NOT like the enemy substitutions in this one. I was pretty shocked to see the SS troopers in map two with the "Schutzstaffel" lmao

Had a good time with this, love the theme, nice easygoing difficulty, cool village map playing hide and seek with imps, better ingredients, papa johns.

Yeah, there should be. Not sure when, probably some time next month. The only bug I'm aware of off the top of my head is the one you reported for MAP10 (though I haven't had time to watch the demo yet).
