I think I know this. Hint: same wad, different map, not Akeldama.

if you stay on any level for 1 hour this will replace sigiltex to motivate the player to exit the level

The map in question is indeed:

Quote

Diet 32 in 24 -- the Heretic picture is from map15

I have been playing through maps found in the archive under the ports section that I haven't already played. I only randomly choose files that have a full four-star user score or better that looks good and isn't too boring or frustrating. These maps came up next. What does the 32 in 24 mean anyways? Normally numbered wads refer to projects that are either speed maps and/or limitation wads. The final map is crazy because of all the revenants, archviles and cyberdemons making it very difficult to exit the final door. It became a waiting game because I had to wait on the cybers killing enough revenants for me to attempt a suicide run out the door. This was just crazy.

The thing that makes the saying in the picture ironic is that Heretic and Hexen are technically the middle children when it comes to id's game engine properties pre Q3. As the middle children they are often ignored, forgotten and unloved by the rest of the family like me.

My most recent play comes from Blowup by didy. I won't have you guess this map, because I already covered a didy map before. Corvus just decided to take a visit too. I think these style maps by didy are his best work. His newer maps not so much. Overall, they might not be the best maps you would ever play, even back then, you do come across some very nice, detailed and atmospheric rooms with great texture choices. Like this room in particular.

Is it the right place to show the belt i've made today?

Belt itself is polyester sling, buckle is laser engraved (it is not new, made it a few years ago, so it has scratches).

Fun with TAOD's new test map... As well as a custom boss enemy for TAOD called the DVI gunship!

This one's a little blurry due to the built-in motion blur, but hopefully you can see what's going on...

I just wanna address something real quick: looking at the other pics on this entire thread as well as the other ones, it amazes me about how far doom modding has come over nearly 30 or 40 years. It's mind-boggling to an extent... The maps look so bloody nice and I can't wait to see what other people make...

After my continuous game of Eternal Doom mucked up and I somehow managed to get past 'Drop Em!' with my inventory intact, I made a patch that lets me start anew on Map 14 from the title screen to continue the rest of the levels. Then I remembered 'hey, ED was a three-part release' so I made a new version that divides it into the original releases. Map 15 is now the start of Eternal Doom III (which goes to Monster Mansion, then Paldorian, with Cybersweeper and Credits as bonus epilogue maps after Excalibur), and Pistol Only now leads to Halls of Disarray again, as it always should have (the beginning of the map is the end of Pistol Only)

I just need to make these episode graphics for UMAPINFO ports (Since GZDoom and Doomsday generate them on the fly if no graphics are defined), and this will work in most ports. I have no clue how Eternity does custom episodes though.

I was originally going to put Credits at the end of Eternal Doom II, like it originally was, but since it was updated for Eternal Doom III, it fits better there

EDIT:

There we go, now its working in Woof with the original demos playing. I used the Label field in UMAPINFO to override the level designation, now its similar to ExMx and follows an EDx-x scheme.

This is a much better solution to the Lost Episodes of Doom E3 problem; replace/override the M_EPI3 graphic with a condensed version that fits on the 4:3 space, rather than that oddball M_EPI4 replacement thats been going the rounds all these years.

Originally I just plain made a new graphic that shortened it from 'The Red Spot of Jupiter' and it was *still* long enough that Eternity cut the edge of the graphic off, so I redid the graphic with less space between the letters. I also redid M_EPI1 and M_EPI2 just incase they now clashed with the new graphic.

I recently stumbled upon this map set while sifting through the archives maps which have a user score of 4 stars or higher. This map comes from BloodRust by Simon 'SlayeR' Judd which has 11 maps. These maps might not be the most impressive maps, nor have the greatest layouts, but they were really fun to play. What are your thoughts about this map set?

I figured these maps were in that series. I was a little confused because this edition only had 16 maps. Thank you.
