Source of this sound?

I've heard this firing sound in tons of Doom mods but it's been never specified where it came from, does somebody know?

To me it sounds a lot like the Doom 3 double barrel, even though it sounds slightly different, perhaps it has been modified from it.

I feel like I heard this specific sound back in the days when I had several Doom 3 mods that modified the weapons and I'm particularly sure it was a modified shotgun, but I can't remember which mod D:
