Why did the myhouse thrread close?

I saw two forum threads of my house, both closed by DoomKid.
What happened?
How come DoomKid closes all these MyHouse threads, like threads including mods for myhouse that allow MyHouse to run with Freedoom, and other threads relating to it, and now the main thread itself?
And what is this MyHouse.wad split?

I guess try re-reading the last posts from Dynamo and myself in the main thread until they make sense.

 

Also I have closed zero threads. Other mods felt it appropriate and frankly I didn't see any reason to argue with them.

 

There's an active thread about the wad here, and once the intensity (and weird doxxing and shit) come to a slowdown, the main thread will obviously be reopened.

CrackHouse closed because of disrespectful copyright violations...

Yes. FreedoomMyHouse was a simple mod allowing you to run myhouse with freedoom. CrackHouse was a meme.

It's community practice that it's bad form to post edits of releases that don't provide permission to do so.

If you (general you) double-down by flouting the idea of asking for permission ("No i did not ask permission, fight me!"), then that's not even a case of a new member not realizing the norms. You know what you're doing.

 

Also the modder was already making "just because" changes beyond the scope of allowing it to run Freedoom, so I would not characterize it as a "simple mod allowing you to run myhouse with Freedoom," but even if it were, you ask permission instead of trying to start a fight lol. The answer is either 'yes' -- or maybe the original author says no because they'd want to do it their own way / maintain it themselves (this possibility is why you don't charge ahead and do it even if it seems like 100% a good idea). 

 

So "petty" is a pretty odd take imo.

I am new, but not because of myhouse.
I started because I was looking for cool weapons mods.
It just so happened that myhouse came out at the same time.

Although it is pretty sad that MyHouse was one of the greatest, and then was tarnished over time and now has a bad rep, that's what fame, clout, and internet brownie points gets you nowadays :(
