I've been feeling stressed recently, especially after something embarrasing that happened to me today which there is no point in explaining, but in any case, can you give me any wads that might make me feel a bit better? Thanks :)

It might be not for you, but for me, it's Hell Revealed. To me, the grindy gameplay makes it feel really satisfying to play, almost meditative and relaxing, but only if you know the level and it's secrets really well.

imo, if you are stressed, avoid playing difficult wads. play "relaxing" / relatively "easy" ones like those made by first time mappers (though i do admit some of those "first time" maps are quite challenging too). by doing so, you could also help further improve their maps by providing feedback. anyway, hope you get better soon :)

Mmmm... Yes! I'd not heard of this one before - nice recommendation!

 

Just played through the first three maps. It is excellent so far. The design is really nice, and the gameplay is definitely relaxing rather than slaughtery. If you do find playing through relatively easy maps therapeutic, this is definitely for you.
