neubejiita Posted November 25, 2023 I am trying to use Eureka on Ubuntu to make a map and I can not find the Boom specials such as silent teleports. I told it to use Boom, but how do I use the extra specials and the generalized floors? Thanks. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
0 Kappes Buur Posted November 26, 2023 Check https://soulsphere.org/projects/boomref/ and Eureka-1.27b\ports\boom.ugh. If I remember correctly, there are 4 or 5 missing teleport specials. Maybe they can simply be added. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
0 LoatharMDPhD Posted November 26, 2023 hate to say it, but SLADE has all that jazz and runs on 7 year old ubuntu distros, check it out... 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

I dispute that, boomref.txt mentions 20 teleporter specials (16 new ones) and even Eureka 1.21 has all the new ones in boom.ugh The Eureka names do not contain any mention if they are silent or not, which is perhaps what is confusing. The line teleporters are always silent, of the others types 268-269 and 207-210 are silent. For generalized linetypes, a "Gen" button in the LineDef panel appears when the port is Boom or Boom-compatible. That button opens a dialog to set up a generalized special. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

So, yes, my memory threw a false positive. Maybe the type designations could be enhanced as in UDB just a suggestion. Edited November 27, 2023 by Kappes Buur 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
