What are some Sunder-like wads?

I absolutely LOVE sunder. I think it's difficulty is Perfect.

Are there any wads that are similar to Sunder both in looks and in difficulty? (I already know Sunlust)

no, there are literally no wads similar to sunder. it's simply too underground and obscure to have ever influenced anything.

I don't think there are any WADs that are exactly similar to Sunder, but if you liked Sunder's taller constructions and difficulty, then here's a short list of some of the WADs you might like:

a lot of people are gonna suggest stuff made after sundet, so how about I suggest some stuff from before?

Hell Revealed 2, o.g. slaughter.

Deus Vult 2, some nice sprawling areas, youll like stuff like Minas Morgul and Unholy Cathedral, and last but not least;

Equinox, the grand daddy of grandiosity, everything you love, Sunlust, Ancient Aliens, Valiant, this did it before back in 2001. Gameplay wise its tough but it predates a lot of tropes we're used to but the architecture and atmosphere, you'll love it.

Altars of Madness and Piña Colada are both map sets that feel like a 'small Sunlust' or a 'small Sunder' at times.

IG did the visuals for Profane Promiseland so you'll find his visual flair throughout (minus his signature architecture) and the fights are heaps of fun.

 

Seconding the Entropy recommendation with its collection of hard fights being reminiscent of later Sunder as well as Combat Shock 2. imo it's the closest thing you'll get to Sunder in terms of pure feel.
