Introducing: AMoDoom! A casual-oriented deathmatch mod inspired by my friend group!

So, since around December of last year I've started working on a deathmatch WAD (now a PK3) based on suggestions from my friend group and ideas I've had every now and then. Now, after almost 5 months of work and some shenanigans (like moving from GZDoom to Zandronum), the first version of the mod is finally complete! The mod was originally made only in italian, but it's now completely translated in english as well. Find out more about it in the sections below!

Contents (Disclaimer: the mod requires skulltag_actors.pk3 to work correctly!):

 

Spoiler

WEAPONS:

 

-All the default Doom/Skulltag weapons (except the Railgun, which only appears with the Instagib modifier);

-Bayonet rifle, a simple rifle that lets you charge enemies or shoot them from afar;

-BFG 2704, basically the beta BFG;

-Cryobow, a freezing version of the railgun;

-Throwable Knives;

-Emerald Splash;

-Flamer, a simple flamethrower;

-Freezer, a version of Quake's lightning gun that's based on an inside joke;

-Wand of Luck, whether it kills you or lets you dominate for a while is pure luck (don't worry, it's rare);

-Reflective sword, a sword that (if you time your swings correctly) lets you reflect projectiles;

-Static Rifle, it will shoot plasma balls that will linger for a while before charging at full speed;

 

Each weapon (including the default ones) has a powered up form, obtainable by using a specific artifact that can be toggled.

 

ARTIFACTS:

-Elemental gems, each with a different effect;

-Sploing, a spring that will let you jump high;

-Summon Sphere, which will summon a friendly Baron of Hell when thrown;

-Porkalator, turns your enemies into pigs!;

-Upgrade Sphere, which, when used, will power-up all your weapons for a limited time. Since the powered-up weapons are really strong, the upgrades can be toggled off in the menu;

 

POWER-UPS:

-All of the default Doom/Skulltag artifacts and runes (the Time Freeze sphere will now warn everyone that time has stopped);

-Icon of the Raven, which will let you fly freely (and shoot really weak projectiles) for a limited time;

-Magical egg, a mystical artifact that will turn you into the Chicken Master, letting you summon chickens!;

-Super Duper Suit, a suit that will morph you into a Juggernaut with a really strong minigun;

-Ammo Sphere, gives infinite ammo for a limited time;

-Franco's camera, which will let you run at super high speeds for a short time;

 

MAPS:

-SPIRAL: An hellish fort in the shape of a spiral;

-LAB: A lunar base with many low-gravity areas;

-DARK: A dark castle where the King Archvile will spawn once, whoever manages to kill him will be able to turn into him for a long time, both the King and the monsters can be toggled off;

-FALL: An open field where the terrain will fall overtime, eventually creating a series of narrow paths leading to a central area;

-HALLS: A group of halls connected together by teleporters, get ready to be jumpscared by opponents!;

-MAZE: A labyrinth completely based on Pac-man in the middle of a Jungle, every time you die, a Demon might spawn!;

-PIT: A huge bridge suspended above a pit, be careful when you jump! Tip: if you fall, try landing in the blood streams below!;

 

-WATER: An incomplete map with only a player 1 spawn, I'm still trying to think about what to do with it;

 

 

A lot of the content in the mod (especially sprites) has been taken from Realm667 and other WADs, a full list of credits is given in AdoCredits.txt (included in the .zip), but I will still paste the contents of the file here. If the original creators of these things has a problems with them being in this mod, please message me and we'll sort it out.
