UV-Max Clarification for an Existing Map

Quick question to the General DooM Community. 

 

1.  In an official capacity how are we looking at the ZeroMaster Pain Elemental Secret for 100%ing Doom II Map15 - Industrial Zone.  Is it a requirement for the official UV-Max for this level?  It does add a ton of time and aggrevation to this run?

 

2.  Has anyone confirmed if this is possible on the Unity Port?  I have pulled this off on PC but cannot seem to get it to Trigger on PS4 Unity Port locking me out of the 100%

No, it's not required for UV Max.

Thank Goodness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  You have no idea how many hours I have spent with that flipping uncooporative Pain Elemental on Unity Port just to have him continuously knock me back into the teleporter until I died because the entire level had been drained of all health  x_x  (much respect for those who have been able to get it to work.)  And to John Romero.......... ~glaring side eye~  You meant to do that...sure.
