Stating the obvious:
-Saturnine Chapel
-Brigandine
-Water Spirit
-Counterattack
-Altitude
-Hellscape

And a couple of great wads that haven't gotten as much attention:

-Templum Dormiens Dei by Stormwalker: A really excellent Heretic level that tastefully adds a few monsters but otherwise sticks to (and thoroughly masters) the game's basic formula of slow pacing, exploration, and atmosphere.

-The Red Line by didy: A really cool set, though it's likely to turn many people off with the first few levels. Each map is themed around a different weapon, and you don't get a gun until map 04; the first level is based around killing enemies with crushers. It has its flaws, but the first three maps are cool and experimental, and the other six are pure didy goodness.

Mentionating Linguica for the Espi award. He's been running Doomworld for years now with unending dedication. Recently he gave the ol' website a facelift -- updates of old, venerable websites often end up ruining them terribly, but this was not the case with this update, in no small part due to his tirelessly ensuring no content would get lost
