  1. No mention of Animutations from early 2000s, a sillier and safer predecessor of 2010s era YouTube Poops? Neil's content was weird but amusing. I did make a list of all the ones I could find, given the originals were in Flash: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQvY23Sy6MM-jBepEW_b7LqjGp8ADtjqN - Keep in mind some use rapid flashing lights, Rubber Duckie and Wizard Power do have some strong effects on it.
  2. I'm just going to have my own drinks today and New Year's Eve. Don't really care about the disco ball dropping spectacle they do in Times Square every year anymore.
  3. By playlist description, looks to me non-TAS. Even TAS is around 3 hours. Decino streamed it and the video was 9 hours in length. But yeah, was lame of him to delete his own video and abandoning his YouTube channel like that.
  4. I'm pretty sure Obsidian with id tech 1 far surpasses that, even as a personal opinion of mine as a dev/contributor of the program.
  5. Oh, this is just something *lovely* to wake up to..
  6. I remember playing 2002ADO and enjoyed it quite a bit. Did not know you were working on a new megawad twenty years later!
  7. Looks a lot like a zombieman on the top 2, Quakeguy on bottom left and an older Doomguy in the bottom right.
  8. Why don't the demos use all the gameplay behavior options in the port that make it operate more like vanilla? Say, the "Doom (Strict)" options set down that bring back old code changes so they're more in sync?
  9. I decided to make a new Last.fm account so what one can see here: https://www.last.fm/user/HellstormLegion Or if you just want to see the artist list..
  10. Doom 3 version for sure. Doesn't make good sound systems with subwoofer loud af.
  11. If it's not been mentioned, are you going to tackle the player and monster sprites, namely original with Romero's added rotations for the zombieman, sergeant and player? These are all very, very nice recreations, though I don't understand the damage on the green armor that is there.
  12. I've made an E1M1 style level but I have never directly ripped off the architecture of the IWAD's map. This is shameful.
  13. Oh shit, this is most unexpected. You have my condolences, though I did not know him that well but he has been a longtime member of the Doom community. RIP.
  14. We'll miss you, dude. I may not have known you that well but rest well.

  15. As others said, replace them with another zombie type, a burst fire weapon instead of a slower chaingunner firing rate. Faster than chaingunner but keeping the same spread it has, could be a good mid level zombie between sergeant and chaingunner.
  16. Seeing the map set title name, you don't happen to be a Morbid Angel fan, are you OP?
  17. Not exactly one of my best works but I did want to make a literal Tower of Babel as seen from the intermission screen. Appreciate the criticism, wasn't too sure how to proceed on progression when ascending. Not so sure how I will do fight progression if I ever redo this sort of experiment again. I have better maps at my disposal in my "About" section of my profile, however. :)
  18. Excited, will keep an eye out for this.

Been playing so much since Sept '19, though got game in Nov '17.

  20. At the moment? Regular Monster (16 fl oz) as well as a nice big jug of water on the side. Probably some Mug root beer later and/oor some of the V8 black cherry energy drinks (8 fl oz cans)
  21. Oh, a clickbait type thumbnail. I wouldn't even bother watching something if I cannot take the thumbnail seriously in many cases. More exposure for Doom to likely a younger 20s crowd, maybe younger than that. Even if 2 out of 10 play and stick around in the community, I consider that a good gain.
  22. Sounds like a quote from a video game, anime or manga.
  23. Dear oh dear oh dear, where do I start? My preferences are Black Metal, Death Metal, Doom Metal and some Heavy Metal. Given I have over 100 GB of music and at least 90% of it is metal, that is something there. Below is a smaller listing of what I have on disk and are more listened to. Black Metal, where everyone thinks it's straight up screeching (mostly true) but there's some using a slightly more audible voice. Death Metal. The 'melodic' subgenre is a big part in my collection.. Doom Metal. Plenty in this category, including a lot of Funeral Doom.. Heavy and Thrash. This is getting long enough so I am sticking both genres here. Uncategorized/Non-metal. Just felt like listing these.
  24. I prefer each level have a different song, given using OBSIDIAN's music randomizer to use lumps in a music WAD replacing everything and mixing everything around, I'd rather not run into that time a following level uses the same music again. This also applies to user made maps, especially megawads, episodic or multi-map releases. Variety is the spice of life, after all.
