I like fun, beautiful and straightforward maps – in that order.

If the map is fun, I don't mind if it's ugly or has a bad flow.

If the map is fun and beautiful, I don't care if I get lost while hunting for keys and buttons which open something in who-knows-where as long as it's still fun and the architecture and landscape please my aesthetic senses.

If the map is fun, beautiful and has an amazing flow, my DooM marine will feel extremely satisfied and probably starts stalking the map author.
